NBA DFS: Top Daily Fantasy Expert Picks for DraftKings, FanDuel (6/8/25)

Pascal Siakam - Fantasy Basketball Rankings, NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Free daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for today's slate on DraftKings and FanDuel. Use Kyle's NBA DFS expert picks to build winning DFS lineups on June 8, 2025.

Welcome back, RotoBallers! Game 1 of the NBA Finals delivered us a masterpiece as the Indiana Pacers stormed back from a nine-point deficit with under three minutes left to play. Oklahoma City held a 94.1% win probability at that point, but a series of big plays and a Tyrese Haliburton long-range two at the buzzer sealed the deal for the improbable comeback. The Thunder are heavy 11-point favorites at home for Game 2 tonight, but, as we have seen with this Pacers team, we must expect the unexpected at this point.

Let’s break down the DFS angles for Game 2 and find the edges we can exploit. I’ll cover my favorite MVP options, core flex plays, and a few value darts that could help unlock the rest of your lineup. As always, stay locked in throughout the day — news and injury updates can shift the entire slate, and adjusting on the fly is where the money’s made.

But it's always essential to have a game plan and zero in on the best players and spots before making those adjustments. This article will provide my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 6/8/25. Remember to monitor NBA injury news and our excellent NBA injuries report tool, as the slate can completely change before lineups lock at 8:00 p.m. EDT on DraftKings.

Today's NBA DFS MVP/Captain Picks

These are the guys you want headlining your lineups at the MVP position (on FanDuel) or Captain position (on DraftKings). Note: FanDuel has now adopted the same type of dynamic pricing as DraftKings, where the MVP selection costs 1.5 times their regular salary.

Pascal Siakam, IND - PF ($14.4K DK, $16.5K FD)

The Eastern Conference Finals MVP didn't have the most productive Game 1, finishing with 39.5 DK points and a 19/10/3/1 line over 35 minutes. If these playoffs have been an indicator, he's due for a big game. He has essentially alternated his useful fantasy games in the postseason, and we know he's plenty capable of scoring 30 real-life points en route to a 50-burger in DFS. The Thunder have plenty of bodies to throw at him, but he's the type of versatile, smart player who will find his way to production anyway. I like his chances of providing value as captain with his current salary.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, OKC - PG ($18.6K DK, $24.3K FD)

The regular season MVP delivered in Game 1, finishing with the most fantasy points on the slate at 55.25 DK points. He wasn't the most efficient (14-for-30 FG) and didn't rack up the counting stats (five rebounds, three assists), so it's safe to say that there's plenty of room for him to hit a higher ceiling in this matchup. He went off for 73 DK points against this team in the regular season, and this is the type of high-paced, high-scoring matchup that a playmaking guard like SGA can thrive in.

Others To Consider: Tyrese Haliburton - PG/SG

Today's NBA DFS Utility

These players are ones you may want to add to your Utility spots!

Myles Turner, IND - C ($7.6K DK, $7.6K FD)

Turner had a great start to the series after fading down the stretch against the Knicks. The veteran big man produced 30.25 DK points with a balanced 15/9/0/3 line, though it could've been much better if not for his six turnovers. OKC went small with Cason Wallace to start in Game 1, and they limited their usual starter, Isaiah Hartenstein, to just 17 minutes. We'll see if they revert to Hartenstein in Game 2, but either way, Turner's style of play presents a tough match for what OKC wants to do defensively. As long as he can make his shots and provide an impact on the boards, Turner shouldn't have any issue being a key piece in DFS lineups tonight.

Andrew Nembhard, IND - PG/SG ($7K DK, $5.8K FD)

Nembhard can disappear at times, but he gets steady minutes as one of the core pieces on this Pacers team. He has stepped up over the last few games, going off for 44.25 DK points in the finale against New York and scoring a reasonable 28 DK points over 32 minutes in Game 1 of the Finals. His stats never jump off the page with Haliburton and Siakam hogging most of the usage, but it's nice to be able to bank on heavy minutes for a player with such a cheap salary. We know he can go off as a tertiary option in this offense because we've seen it several times in this improbable playoff run already.

Others To Consider: Chet Holmgren - PF/C

Today's NBA DFS Value Picks

Alex Caruso, OKC - PG/SG ($5.8K DK, $4.8K FD)

Caruso plays a frenetic, in-your-face style of ball, but we can't argue with the results. He put up an impressive 31.5 DK points over 28 minutes in Game 1, and he contributed in a variety of ways with 11 points, six rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and three steals. Like SGA, the type of ball Indiana likes to play is a benefit to Caruso's playing style, and I believe he remains too cheap for his expanded playoff role.

Obi Toppin, IND - PF/C ($4K DK, $2.6K FD)

It's pretty comical that DraftKings lists Toppin as a "center." He's 6'9". I digress..Toppin ranks fourth on the team with a 0.98 FPTS/min rate since the playoffs began, trailing only Haliburton, T.J. McConnell, and Siakam. He holds a high 20.4% usage rate in that split as well, which is what we want to see out of a reserve who needs to make the most of his limited minutes to provide value in our lineups. He's in great form, scoring 27.25 DK points in Game 1 after posting 32 DK points in the deciding Game 6 in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Others to Consider: Cason Wallace - PG/SG

As the NBA playoffs heat up, so do the opportunities to win more in Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) on DraftKings and FanDuel. Staying informed on late-breaking NBA injury news is critical for success, so be sure to leverage RotoBaller’s expert insights and tools throughout the day to gain an edge on the field.

Whether you're grinding out GPPs or locking in safe cash game picks, a smart NBA DFS strategy can make all the difference. Good luck tonight, and may your lineups crush!
