Week 8 Start/Sit: MLB Starting Pitcher (SP) Matchups

By SD Dirk on Flickr [CC BY 2.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.0)], via Wikimedia Commons

Uncle Leo provides his fantasy baseball starting pitcher (SPs) starts and sits for Week 8 of MLB (2015), including two start pitchers and sleepers, based on matchups.

What’s up RotoBallers, Happy Memorial Day weekend. I love writing this article weekly, and I hope you enjoy it too. A couple of quick things thought before we get started -- first of all, the site's MLB editor approached me this week. He said "Hey Unc, we are going to make this a Premium article going forward, and only paid subscribers will be able access it." To which I replied, we need to make it available to everyone so we can help them win their leagues.

So here's the deal -- if I get 100 new Twitter followers by the end of the long weekend, then this will remain a free article. Given that thousands of people read this piece every week, I said "No problemo, it costs people nothing other than five seconds of their day. This should be easy". I'm not a big Twitter guy, and only have 127 followers as of this moment, but he thinks it's important. So that's the deal... if by midnight Monday night I have 227 followers on Twitter, then this article remains free forever. Easy right? Help me, help you, help everyone.

Go to this page, click the follow button, and consider it your good deed for the day. Sounds good? Okay great... glad we got that out of the way.

On a different note, by popular demand I am releasing this early Sunday morning. Note that MLB teams usually shuffle their rotations at the beginning of the week, so I'll try my best to update the matchups throughout today and tomorrow. Below are all of the projected starting pitching matchups for Week 8, including our recommendation on whether to start or sit them for your fantasy baseball teams. Next to each matchup below, we also have a link to our Premium Starting Pitcher Daily Matchups, Streamers & DFS Tool. For those who aren't aware, our in-house tool analyzes SP matchups based on a variety of stats/metrics, and recommends whether start, sit, or stream any pitcher for seasonal and DFS leagues. It's pretty cool.

SP Matchups & Start/Sit Recommendations

Editor’s Note: RotoBaller’s fantasy baseball waiver wire pickups list is updated every single day. Our awesome writers bring you analysis on hot or emerging starting pitchers, and also all other fantasy positions. You can also download our waiver wire iPhone app for free, and easily stay updated.

As always, projected starters and matchups may change throughout the week:
