MLB DFS Picks Today: Daily Fantasy Baseball Strategy and Tips For FanDuel, DraftKings (6/9/25)

Jarren Duran - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

Zach's top DraftKings and FanDuel MLB DFS picks for today, Monday, 6/9/25. His favorite daily fantasy baseball lineup sleepers and value picks for DFS on DraftKings and FanDuel.

Welcome Back, RotoBallers! Major League Baseball gets back to work this Monday with an excellent nine-game main slate on both DraftKings and FanDuel. First pitch is scheduled for 6:40 p.m. ET. Each of the nine games is the first game of a new series to start the week, with some great matchups, including an in-state rivalry in Ohio, the Phillies hosting the Cubs for a potential playoff preview, three interleague games, and three divisional matchups.

On the mound, several top pitchers take their turn in the rotation with big names like Chris Sale, Nick Pivetta, and Matthew Boyd in play. Zack Wheeler is also expected to return from the paternity list and go head-to-head with Boyd in a great pitching matchup to start the Cubs-Phillies showdown.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 6/9/2025, with the slate starting on both sites at 6:40 p.m. EDT. The lineup picks will showcase elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is always essential.

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Chris Sale, ATL at MIL ($10K DK/$10.5K FD)

Sale has been strong recently for the Braves, who are on a tough run of one-run losses as they head to Milwaukee to take on the Brewers. The 36-year-old lefty is 3-4 in his 13 starts on the season with a solid 2.93 ERA, 2.93 FIP, and 1.24 WHIP. Those overall numbers are elevated from a few rough starts early in the season, and he has allowed two earned runs or fewer in each of his last nine outings, posting a 1.65 ERA, 2.65 FIP, and 1.13 WHIP.

Sale has also picked up his strikeout production with a 32.3% K% over those nine starts and a total of 72 strikeouts in 54 2/3 innings. He fanned 10 in his last start against Arizona.

The Brew Crew is a tough matchup, but they do rely heavily on lefties, who Sale has been very effective against this season. The reasons for backing Sale aren't matchup-based, but he still makes sense due to his excellent form and strong strikeout upside.

Matthew Boyd, CHC at PHI ($8.3K DK/$9.9K FD)

In his first season with the Cubs, Boyd has been outstanding, giving up more than three earned runs just once in his 12 starts while going 5-3 with a 3.01 ERA, 3.46 FIP, and 1.19 WHIP. He has 46 strikeouts in 40 1/3 innings over his last seven starts, earning over 20 DraftKings points in five of his last six outings.

Boyd draws a tough matchup with the Phillies on Monday. However, the Phillies have dropped five straight and nine of their last 10. They were just swept by the Pirates over the weekend and will be without Bryce Harper (wrist) for this matchup. In their last five games, they only managed eight total runs, being held to just a single run in four of those five contests.

Eury Perez, MIA at PIT ($7K DK/$7.5K FD)

As long as the rain isn't an issue in Pittsburgh, Perez is set to make his return after missing all of 2024 after Tommy John surgery. Pre-injury, he had excellent strikeout numbers and was a top pitching prospect for Miami, and he'll look to pick up where he left off after going 5-6 with a 3.15 ERA, 4.11 FIP, and 10.7 K/9 in 19 games in 2023.

He's still only 22, and he looked sharp at the end of his rehab assignment, going 1-1 in eight minor league games with a 1.99 ERA, 3.73 FIP, and 27 strikeouts in 22 2/3 innings. He gave up just three earned runs in three starts at Triple-A, with 15 strikeouts in 12 2/3 innings.

In his return, he has a soft landing spot against the Pirates, who have scored the second-fewest runs in the majors, averaging 3.2 runs per game while posting the fifth-lowest batting average and fourth-lowest wOBA in the majors. They also have the fourth-highest K% in the majors, giving Perez a high strikeout ceiling.

Others To Consider (Cash/GPP):

  • Zack Wheeler, PHI vs. CHC ($10.5K DK/ $10.8K FD)
  • Yusei Kikuchi, LAA vs. ATH ($7.7K DK/$8.2K FD)

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Jose Ramirez, 3B - CLE vs. Wade Miley ($5.4K DK/$3.6K FD)

Ramirez is a great play to build around whenever the Guardians are taking on a lefty, and the hitting conditions are expected to be favorable at Progressive Field this Monday. Ramirez brings a high ceiling with both power and speed potential, and he has been scalding hot lately. He has hit safely in all but one of his last 30 games, going 47-for-117 (.402) with seven home runs, nine doubles, 10 stolen bases, and a .482 wOBA.

Against lefties this season, Ramirez is hitting .417 with a .440 wOBA. Using both his home runs and stolen bases, he has reached at least 10 DraftKings points in nine of his last 12 games and always seems to find a way to bring great return on investment. He should be able to keep rolling against Miley, who is a strong option to stack against, highlighted further below.

Yandy Diaz, 1B - TB at Brayan Bello ($4.2K DK/$3.1K FD)

Diaz and the Rays roll into Boston to face Bello, against whom Diaz has a strong history. In their past meetings, he has gone 5-for-12 with a pair of extra-base hits, and he always seems to torment the Red Sox, hitting .317 with 95 hits, 10 home runs, and 42 RBI in 83 games against them in his career.

He comes into this series hot after going 12-for-36 (.333) over his last nine games with two home runs and a 54.8% hard-hit rate over those contests. He smashed his ninth homer of the season on Sunday with this oppo taco:

Max Muncy, 2B/3B (DK only)/SS (FD only) - ATH at Yusei Kikuchi ($2.5K DK/$2.4K FD)

The Athletics' Max Muncy has been excellent over the past few weeks, tearing up Triple-A and earning a recall to the majors, where he has kept right on hitting. After struggling in his first stint in the majors, he was sent back to the Las Vegas Aviators, but he heated up and went 17-for-56 (.370) with four doubles and a triple over his last 12 games before getting a promotion on June 4.

He is 4-for-17 (.235) since coming back to the Athletics, and two of those hits have been home runs. He has a 54.5% hard-hit rate in his small sample since returning and should be a great salary-stretcher with his positional versatility and his good upside from the heart of the Athletics' order against Kikuchi.

Others To Consider:

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Shohei Ohtani, OF/1B (DK only) - LAD at Nick Pivetta ($6.5K DK/$4.8K FD)

Ohtani and the Dodgers are in San Diego to take on the Padres this week in the latest chapter of their NL West rivalry. He always brings a very high ceiling with both home run and stolen base upside. He has hit safely in five straight games, and is 12-for-40 (.300) over his last 10 games, with three homers and a 56.7% hard-hit rate.

He has a good track record against Pivetta, going 4-for-12 with three extra-base hits, including a pair of home runs in their previous meetings. Ohtani was hit on the foot by a pitch on Sunday but was able to stay in the game and is not expected to miss any time.

Jarren Duran, OF - BOS vs. Shane Baz ($5.2K DK/$3.3K FD)

Duran and the Red Sox are back at Fenway after taking two of three from the Yankees over the weekend, and they're a sneaky stack against Shane Baz, who has been dominant at times but has also struggled to keep the ball in the yard. Duran is hitting .284 with a .353 wOBA against righties this season and .319 with a .385 wOBA at home. He'll be on the strong side of both those splits in Monday's matchup.

He comes into the contest riding a six-game hitting streak and has gone 9-for-25 (.360) with four doubles, a triple, and three walks over that span. Like several of the other options in this post, he has multiple paths to a big game since he can contribute with both power and speed, and I think he's a great piece to build around on this slate.

Denzel Clarke, OF - ATH at Yusei Kikuchi ($2.5K DK/$2.5K FD)

Clarke has played absolutely lights-out defense since joining the Athletics. He had a "Spider-Man" catch in Toronto and added this ridiculous highlight to the reel on Friday.

He did have to leave the game with a shoulder injury after crashing into the wall and sat out Saturday, but he was back in the lineup Sunday and went 1-for-3 with a run scored. While defense doesn't get fantasy points on either DraftKings or FanDuel, it should keep him in the everyday lineup for the Athletics, and he actually has nice wraparound potential since he usually hits ninth.

He's a bargain version of the power/speed combo I pursue for DFS contests and has a home run and three stolen bases in his 15 games in the majors while hitting safely in eight of his last nine games and going 10-for-30 (.333) with a .371 wOBA and 52.9% hard-hit rate.

Others To Consider:

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

1. Cleveland Guardians vs. Wade Miley

Miley has only pitched in one game this season, giving up four runs on six hits in two innings. He had a 5.93 ERA, 1.68 WHIP, and just seven strikeouts in 13 2/3 innings at Triple-A Louisville in his rehab from hybrid UCL repair surgery. The veteran lefty has looked very hittable so far, and the Guardians are very affordable to stack against him at home in a good spot with the wind blowing out.

Favorite Combo: Ramirez, Martinez, Arias, Carlos Santana

2. Boston Red Sox vs. Shane Baz

The Red Sox can be boom-or-bust offensively, but they have good upside against Baz, who has a 4.96 ERA and 5.01 FIP overall this season and has given up 13 homers in his 12 starts, including eight in his last five outings. In those five starts, opponents have a 44.2% hard-hit rate and 12.8% barrel rate.

Favorite Combo: Duran, Rafael Devers, Kristian Campbell, Wilyer Abreu

Honorable Mention: Los Angeles Angels vs. Jeffrey Springs
