MLB DFS: DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (5/11/24) - Today's Top Lineups

Josh Naylor

The top MLB DFS daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel, DraftKings on May 11, 2024. Mike Marteny's MLB DFS sleepers picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

Our Saturday slate is chopped almost directly in half again this week with six matinee games and seven games on the main slate. We will concentrate on the seven-game main slate. Unfortunately, we have a Coors Field game on here, but we'll make do.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 5/11/2024, with the slate starting at 7:05 p.m. EDT. The lineup picks will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is also essential.

Good luck, RotoBallers!

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Freddy Peralta vs. STL ($10,400 DraftKings; $10,500 FanDuel)

It wasn't an injury that forced the Brewers to go with a six-man rotation this week. It was the suspension of Peralta stemming from an incident against the Rays on April 30 in which he threw at Jose Siri in the next at-bat after Siri took him deep. That's the good news. There's no injury.

However, Peralta hasn't been at his best over the last three starts anyway. He got smacked by the Pirates before a solid outing against the Rays but walked six Cubs in his last start. Yikes! That makes him harder to pay up for on DK where you're penalized for walks. Peralta last faced the Cards on April 19 in St. Louis. He blanked them over six innings and stacked up 23.9 DraftKings points. That's not elite, but it might be good enough on a small slate.

Cole Ragans at LAA ($9,500 DraftKings; $10,300 FanDuel)

Ragans has been nearly unhittable away from The K, allowing just one run over 19 innings in three road starts. Now he gets a road start against an Angels team that is striking out 24.8% of the time against lefties. That was with three weeks of Mike Trout mashing them. Ragans has only allowed four runs in his last three starts after getting blasted by the Orioles on International Pothead Day. On top of that, he racked up 21 strikeouts in 17 2/3 innings.

James Paxton at SD ($7,400 DraftKings; $8,100 FanDuel)

Unfortunately, our value options aren't nearly as nice as they were last night. However, getting Paxton at this price is a blessing even in a tougher matchup. The Padres are slugging .405 against Paxton in his career, but that's skewed by Xander Bogaerts making Paxton his human pitching machine during their days in the A.L. East.

Paxton no longer racks up the strikeouts, but he doesn't allow a lot of hard contact either (43.3%). He only allowed one run to a potent Braves offense his last time out and has seven strikeouts in his last two starts. He's trending upward, albeit very slightly.

Also consider: Nick Lodolo at SF, Andrew Heaney at COL

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Josh Naylor – 1B, CLE vs. Mike Clevinger ($5,600 DK; $3,700 FD)

Naylor's price on FanDuel is laughable, even before you look at this matchup. Clevinger was destroyed in his first start of 2024, allowing four runs (three earned) in only two innings to the Rays. Clevinger is primarily a four-seamer/slider pitcher. He threw those pitches 77.7% of the time in his first start, which is down a bit from last year. I mention this because Naylor has a .728 SLG against those two pitches in 2024. He was similarly unkind to those offerings last year as well.

Josh Rojas – 3B, SEA vs. Joey Estes ($3,800 DK; $3,000 FD)

Rojas has been leading off for the Mariners against right-handed pitching. He has five multi-hit games in eight May contests going against a rookie who has a 6.04 ERA in the minors this season. On top of that, Estes allowed eight runs in 10 major league innings in September last year. The Mariners should put up some crooked numbers tonight. The leadoff hitter is a good place to start your DFS builds.

Paul DeJong – SS, CWS vs. Triston McKenzie ($2,800 DK; $2,600 FD)

McKenzie has been better over his last four starts, but Paul DeJong has 71 DraftKings points over his last four starts. For the record, that's only 2.8 points less than McKenzie at a $6K discount. DeJong is on an epic heater right now, with seven hits in the last four games -- including three home runs. The fact that he is still this cheap feels like cheating.

Also consider: Mookie Betts, Josh Smith, Xander Bogaerts

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Christian Yelich - OF, MIL vs. Kyle Gibson ($5,000 DK; $3,700 FD)

Yelich has feasted on the Cardinals in the first two games of his series, picking up five hits in eight tries with three runs scored and two RBI. Yelich is a career .364 hitter against Kyle Gibson. Homers aren't really Yelich's game, but he has five in just 14 games this season. He might get his sixth here.

Brenton Doyle – OF, COL vs. Andrew Heaney ($4,300 DK; $3,700 FD)

I honestly don't love the Rockies tonight. Not that Heaney is a good pitcher, but he's not really prone to home runs either. Doyle is riding a modest three-game hitting streak, but he has five hits in that span. He is taking advantage of the spacious Coors outfield and has the power to park one if he gets a good pitch to hit.

Leody Taveras – OF, TEX vs. Ryan Feltner ($3,800 DK; $3,100 FD)

Finding potential value options for games played at Coors Field can be difficult. The hitting conditions are so favorable that both sites tend to inflate the salaries for hitters who are going to play there. Taveras has a cheap salary and is 15-for-45 (.333) with two home runs and three doubles over his last 13 games. He could be well worth the risk in tournaments. Taveras hasn't been shut out in DFS since April 25.

Also consider: Shohei Ohtani, Tommy Pham, TJ Friedl

1. Rangers vs. Ryan Feltner

2. Guardians vs. Mike Clevinger

3. Mariners vs. Joey Estes
