Week 17 FLEX Rankings Outlooks

Jaylen Waddle, Miami Dolphins

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle has clearly been the Dolphins' go-to wide receiver since Tyreek Hill (knee) sustained a season-ending injury, but this week against the Bengals, he'll be working with a new QB, which makes him much higher risk. Last week against the Steelers, Waddle only managed two catches for 26 yards in the Dolphins' defeat.

Since that loss eliminated the team from playoff contention, it was also likely the end of the season for Tua Tagovailoa, who will be replaced by Quinn Ewers for this week's matchup. Waddle has turned his 90 targets into 59 catches for 838 receiving yards and six touchdowns this season, and he should remain the focus of the passing game with a high ceiling. The rookie QB taking over does raise Waddle's risk, though, which is why he's slid to no. 24 in RotoBaller's WR rankings this week, making him a WR3 or flex play in standard leagues, instead of a reliable WR2.

Tyrone Tracy Jr., New York Giants

New York Giants running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. continues to handle a high-volume role, and he should remain heavily involved ahead of Sunday's Week 17 contest against the Las Vegas Raiders. Tracy has emerged as the Giants' top back ahead of Devin Singletary ever since Cam Skattebo (ankle) was placed on season-ending injured reserve. He has played at least half of the snaps in six of his last eight games, including 76% of the snaps back in Week 15.

In two games since the bye week, he has 31 carries, 141 rushing yards, five catches, 34 receiving yards, and two touchdowns. In addition to playing well recently, he's an intriguing fantasy option given his matchup against the Raiders, who have allowed the second-most rushing touchdowns and 10th-most fantasy points to opposing running backs in 2025. As it stands, Tracy ranks as the overall RB24 in RotoBaller's Week 17 rankings.

Alec Pierce, Indianapolis Colts

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce posted a strong bounce-back effort in Week 16's 48-27 loss to the 49ers, reeling in all four of his targets for 86 yards and two touchdowns. Pierce has been a solid fantasy asset all season. However, he looked to be fading two weeks ago when Indy named veteran QB Philip Rivers their starter. At the time, the 25-year-old's downfield skill set didn't appear to be a match for Rivers' current play style.

That changed on Monday night, though, when the 44-year-old began pushing the ball a bit more. If Rivers won't be pigeonholed into a short, quick attack, then Pierce will still hold a bit of value down the stretch. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect a ton of volume from the former Cincinnati Bearcat, but he'll at least still be the recipient of valuable downfield targets. Pierce has led all Colts' receivers in snaps in eight of their last nine outings and is considered a FLEX option against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 17.
