DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (6/10/18): MLB DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on June 10th, 2018. Elliott Baas' MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

We’ve got a large Sunday slate on DraftKings today. Usually DraftKings doesn’t lump games that start after 3:00 PM EST into the main slate on Sundays, but they extended it today and got the two games with the highest Vegas O/U totals on the slate. ARI @ COL has an 11.5 O/U and HOU @ TEX has a 10.5 O/U, the only two double digit totals today. They really made things interesting for us by including these games along with two high priced aces.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 6/10/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for sites like FanDuel, and other sports too. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @ElliottBaasBB.

DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers

Corey Kluber, CLE (@ DET) - $13,600

Kluber may be pricey, but he is in a great matchup on this Sunday slate. Kluber takes on the Detroit Tigers, who have a .299 wOBA and 86 wRC+ against right-handed pitching this season. Kluber has been his usual dominant self through 13 starts with a 1.96 ERA and 9.50 K/BB ratio. Kluber and James Paxton ($12,500 @ TB) are the two aces on the slate, but Kluber has the superior matchup and has delivered a quality start in every single one of his outings this season.

Clayton Richard, SD (@ MIA) - $7,300

Over his last six starts Clayton Richard has a 3.32 ERA, 3.07 FIP, and 4.9 K/BB ratio. This hot stretch coincided with increased slider usage for Richard, which improved his strikeout rate and swinging strike percentage. Richard gets an easy matchup against the Miami Marlins, who have a .302 wOBA and 91 wRC+ against left-handed pitchers this season. Richard is also averaging over seven innings per start this season, meaning he should give us good volume and put himself in a position for a win.

Fernando Romero, MIN (vs. LAA) - $5,900

Kluber any many of the big bats are expensive, which means we may need to rely on a cheap SP2 option. Romero’s DraftKings price has plummeted after he took an eight-run shellacking at the hands of the Royals on May 30th. He bounced back in his next outing, allowing just two runs over six innings to the White Sox. Despite the one nightmare outing Romero still has a 3.80 FIP and 11.7% swinging strike rate on the season. He's a cheaper alternative to Richard, and if Romero can get through six and limit the damage against the Angels he’ll allow Kluber and the Coors bats to do the heavy lifting.

DraftKings DFS Infielders

C – Russell Martin, TOR (vs. BAL) - $2,700

Martin has a .917 OPS over the last seven days and is a decent punt against Alex Cobb. Cobb has a 6.19 ERA and is allowing 1.55 HR/9 this season. Martin’s .174 average is ugly, but with a 14.6% walk rate and .155 ISO he gives us just enough upside to put in our lineups as a cheap option at catcher.

1B – Paul Goldschmidt, ARI (@ COL) - $5,600

Those of us who have been riding the Goldy train all weekend shouldn’t be ready to hop off yet. His May struggles are behind him, and even with that putrid month he is still crushing lefties. Goldschmidt has a 1.008 OPS and .423 wOBA against left-handed pitchers this season, which align almost perfectly with his career numbers. He also has five home runs in June as of writing this, though the Diamondbacks game has not finished yet and he could smack even more in Saturday’s contest. The Rockies are slight favorites in this one, which makes the Diamondbacks a good pivot since they crush lefties as a team.

2B – Ketel Marte, ARI (@ COL) - $3,600

Marte is hitting .282 with an .819 OPS and .200 ISO against left-handed pitching this season. His overall numbers aren’t pretty because he struggles against right-handers, but like many of the Diamondbacks he is perfectly capable against southpaws.

3B – Rafael Devers, BOS (vs. CWS) - $3,300

Don’t let his 3.42 ERA fool you, Reynaldo Lopez has a 5.53 xFIP and 1.55 K/BB this season and is allowing a .417 SLG to left-handed batters. Devers has hit six of his nine homers against right-handed pitchers this season and gives us cheap Boston exposure to Lopez.

SS – Nick Ahmed, ARI (@ COL) - $3,800

Ahmed is much like his teammate Ketel Marte, and they are two players I often pair together against southpaws. He crushes left-handed pitching but is so futile against righties that it drags his overall numbers down. Against lefties Ahmed is hitting .292 with a .292 ISO and .908 OPS. Those numbers are great in general, but make him a bargain in Coors Field at $3,800.

DraftKings DFS Outfielders

George Springer, HOU (@ TEX) -  $5,100

The Astros are in the second best hitting environment at Globe Life Park in Arlington and take on Rangers’ lefty Matt Moore. Moore has been one of the worst pitchers in baseball this season with a 7.47 ERA, 5.63 xFIP, and 1.64 K/BB ratio through 53 innings. Springer has a .990 OPS and .293 ISO against left-handed pitchers this season and gives us some exposure to the game with the second highest implied total on the slate.

Jake Marisnick, HOU (@ TEX) - $2,700

It may not feel good to click "draft player" on Jake Marisnick, but as a punt Marisnick pairs well with Springer. Marisnick normally hits ninth for the Astros, so he will be directly in front of Springer after the first time through the order. This is a play based on matchup situation rather than talent, but it helps us play Coors bats and Kluber.

Gerardo Parra, COL (vs. ARI) - $3,700

We can’t let Zack Godley off the hook. Parra is hitting .326 with a .796 OPS against right-handed pitching this season, and Godley has a 7.08 ERA away from Chase Field. We can’t quite afford to stack the Rockies and Diamondbacks on this state, but Parra gives us some exposure to the Rockies against Godley.
