Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (6/19/17): MLB DFS Advice for FanDuel and DraftKings

We have a larger than average 11 game slate to kick off the week. There are some big name arms on the mound today that you will want to spend up on if you are a cash game player. So you will need to find some value out there. There are also some pretty solid options to target for stacking against, so plenty of plays all across the board.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 6/19/2017. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options, and of course, value plays

Offensive Stacks

San Francisco Giants vs R.A. Dickey

Most DFS players like to stack against Dickey, as the knuckle ball pitch, isn't as effective as it once was. The Giants players aren't expensive at all tonight, and they allow you to get a full stack in there and a decent pitcher. The new Braves stadium is playing much more as a hitters park compared to the old Turner Field. Should be hot as always in Atlanta, so the ball will be jumping off the bat. Stick with the top half of the lineup, and wait for the runs to come in.

Miami Marlins vs Tanner Roark

Roark has been struggling over his past few games. He has allowed nine or more hits in two of his last three games, and has allowed 13 ER over those three starts. Rough numbers this season, and this could be a bit of a sneaky stacking spot. The Marlins stadium is a pitchers park, and generally DFS players shy away from offensive exposure there. So this is the time to exploit the thought process of other players, and load up on some Marlins hitters.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers

Clayton Kershaw - P, vs NYM (DK$13,500, FD$12,500)

We all know that Kershaw is one, if not the best pitcher in baseball, and has one of the highest point floors of any pitcher. This season, Kershaw has a 29% strikeout rate vs right-handed batters, and a 21% strikeout rate vs left-handed batters. Elite numbers and he has put up nine or more strikeouts in three of his last five starts. He is facing off against the Mets who have a 21% strikeout rate vs left-handed pitchers. This game in at Dodgers Stadium, which is a solid pitchers park, so all signs point to Kershaw having another strong start.

Jake Odorizzi - P, vs CIN (DK$7,400, FD$7,700)

Odorizzi has had more success pitching at home this season compared to on the road. In three of his last four starts at home, he has put up six or more strikeouts. In those four recent home starts, he has only given up seven earned runs. Solid numbers at home, and this upside makes him a great GPP play. He is up against the Reds, who have a 21% strikeout rate vs right-handed pitching this season, which falls in the middle of the league. This is a good pitchers park, so the potential is good for him.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Alex Avila - C, @ SEA (DK$4,000, FD$3,600)

Avila is a higher priced option at catcher tonight, but he has some great splits vs right-pitchers. This season, he has a .465 wOBA and a .331 ISO vs RHP. Elite level production, makes him a great cash game play. He is at Seattle which ins't the best hitters park, but the consistency he has makes him a solid play.

Anthony Rizzo - 1B, vs SDP (DK$4,800, FD$4,300)

Rizzo has been crushing it since he moved to the lead off spot. He has three home runs in his last five games, to give him eight runs batted in his last four games. As of now it shows that there should be winds of 10 MHP blowing out towards right center. These are great factors to help him, and helps his home run upside. Can be used in cash or GPPs.

Jed Lowrie - 2B, vs HOU (DK$4,000, FD$2,900)

Jed Lowrieno relation to Mike Lowrey from Bad Boys. Lowrie has some really strong numbers vs right-haned pitching this season, he has a .386 wOBA and a .226 ISO. He is much cheaper on Fanduel, and he bats high in the order, so great value here. Cash game option, and give you a bit of salary relief if you want to fit in one of the top pitchers.

Josh Donaldson - 3B, @ TEX (DK$4,600, FD$3,900)

Donaldson is a bit cheaper on Fanduel tonight, and he is in a great spot to go deep. This game it at Texas, which is a great hitters park, and he is facing off against a right-handed pitcher, and has great numbers against them this season. He has a .410 wOBA and a .325 ISO vs RHP. Big time power numbers from the third basemen, and he makes a great cash game option, or as a one off in a tournament lineup, due to his power upside.

Jordy Mercer - SS, @ MIL (DK$3,600, FD$3,000)

Mercer is a bit of a reverse splits hitter this year, he has much betters success against right-handed pitchers, even though he is a right-handed batter. Mercer has a .359 wOBA and a .394 OBP vs RHP this season. He is at Milwaukee, which is a nice positive park shift from his home stadium. Cheap option that brings a bit of consistency to your lineup.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Christian Yelich - OF, vs WAS (DK$3,900, FD$3,700)

Yelich is on a bit of a hot streak, so no reason to shy away from him. He has put up 7 RBIs in his last four games, great production from him, makes him a great option in a stack, because the Marlins have plenty of home run potential in the middle of their lineup. This season he has a .336 wOBA vs RHP at home.

Corey Dickerson - OF, vs CIN (DK$4,800, FD$3,800)

Dickerson has been crushing right-handed pitching this season, he has a .397 wOBA and a .286 ISO. Big time power numbers so far, he is a threat to go deep any night. He is more a stacking option tonight, because he will be tough to get him in a lineup with a higher priced pitcher.

Seth Smith - OF, vs CLE (DK$4,000, FD$2,600)

Smith is much cheaper on FanDuel tonight and he has a a .331 wOBA vs RHP this season. Smith can be a bit of a streaky hitter, and he had a home run on Sunday, so now might be the time to jump on him while his price is still lower. At home in a hitters park, nice home run upside makes him a good one off in GPPs.
