Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 8:
Josh Downs, Indianapolis Colts
Wide receiver-needy NFL teams have called the Indianapolis Colts on wide receiver Josh Downs, several league sources told Jordan Schultz. The Colts traded away Pro Bowl offensive guard Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks and Pro Bowl defensive tackle DeForest Buckner to the San Francisco 49ers on Tuesday, and Downs could be next to go as the 2-5 Colts continue to clean house for draft capital. The 25-year-old Downs caught just two of his four targets for 18 yards in Sunday's Week 7 loss to the Minnesota Vikings as he continues his disappointing 2026 season.
The former third-rounder from North Carolina has yet to find the end zone through seven weeks and has 26 receptions on 46 targets for 307 yards (11.8 yards per catch ) to begin his fourth year in the NFL. Downs' production, or lack thereof, is even more disappointing when considering that Alec Pierce (heel) has been on Injured Reserve after aggravating his surgically repaired heel in the Week 2 overtime loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. In addition to Downs, the Colts could trade away veteran receiver Keenan Allen and star running back Jonathan Taylor before the Nov. 10 deadline.
Jaylen Warren, Pittsburgh Steelers
Running back Jaylen Warren continues to be the No. 1 option in the backfield for the Pittsburgh Steelers, as he rushed 18 times for 101 yards (5.6 yards per carry) and made three receptions (on four targets) for 36 yards (12.0 yards per catch) in a 16-10 Week 7 win over the New Orleans Saints in France. Warren played 40 out of 64 offensive snaps (62.5%). He compiled 56 yards after contact, averaging 3.11 yards after contact per attempt, according to Pro Football Focus.
Fellow running back Rico Dowdle earned 28 snaps and rushed nine times for 41 yards (4.6 yards per carry), while catching all six of his targets for 45 receiving yards (7.5 yards per reception). While Dowdle remains involved, Warren out-touched him 21-15 and played 12 more offensive snaps. Warren tallied 137 scrimmage yards compared to 86 for Dowdle. Both running backs will play significant roles in the offense, but expect Warren to keep leading the charge.
Tre Tucker, Las Vegas Raiders
Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Tre Tucker recorded five catches for 103 yards (20.6 yards per reception) and a touchdown in a 35-21 loss to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 7. Tucker played 56 out of 68 (82.35%) offensive snaps and led the team in receiving yards and targets (12).
Tucker has now scored three combined touchdowns over the past two games. Sunday marked the second time in 2026 that Tucker has surpassed 100 receiving yards in a game (119 yards in Week 2) and the sixth consecutive game in which he tallied at least four receptions. Tucker is becoming a consistent fantasy football option and will remain heavily involved in the Raiders' passing game moving forward. Tucker is currently available in 42% of Yahoo Leagues.
Ollie Gordon II, Miami Dolphins
Miami Dolphins running back Ollie Gordon II added to his mid-season breakout with 25 carries for 103 yards and a touchdown in a 28-25 win against the New York Jets. Gordon has become Miami's primary back since De'Von Achane (knee) suffered a season-ending injury, and has rushed for 100 or more yards in two of his last three games.
With Jaylen Wright (quad) exiting Sunday's game with an injury, Gordon could continue carrying the bulk of the responsibilities for Miami. Gordon will be challenged in Week 8 against a sturdy New England Patriots defense, but the 22-year-old continues to be an intriguing RB3 and FLEX option in fantasy leagues.
Tony Pollard, Tennessee Titans
Tennessee Titans running back Tony Pollard is a solid RB2 option heading into a Week 8 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals after accounting for all three of his team's touchdowns in Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Cleveland Browns, rushing for 129 yards and three scores on a season-high 25 carries. Pollard struck on runs of 36 and 10 yards in the first quarter before scoring from one yard out with 58 seconds remaining to tie the game.
He nearly added another touchdown in the second quarter, but replay overturned the score, and Cleveland eventually stopped him on fourth-and-goal from the one-yard line. He also caught all three of his targets for 26 yards, finishing with 155 scrimmage yards and 36.5 PPR fantasy points. With Tyjae Spears (knee) inactive, Pollard handled 25 of Tennessee's 28 running back carries, and that workload and goal-line role reinforce his status as the team's primary rushing option.
