Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 6:
Tony Pollard, Tennessee Titans
Tennessee Titans running back Tony Pollard (foot) is not present at the team's practice on Wednesday, according to Turron Davenport of ESPN. Pollard also missed practice last Wednesday before eventually returning to practice later in the week and playing in the Week 5 loss to the division-rival Houston Texans.
The 29-year-old had 14 carries in that game for 52 yards and did not catch his only target in the passing game. Barring a setback with his foot/ankle injury, Pollard should suit up this weekend and continue to share the backfield with Tyjae Spears, who had a notable nine receptions in the loss to Houston.
With Spears handling key passing-game work and with Pollard leading a rushing attack that is averaging only 82.6 yards per game on the ground, Pollard will continue to have minimal fantasy upside as a low-end RB2. He has yet to have a 100-yard game on the ground while averaging 4.0 yards per carry on 68 rushing attempts for 273 yards and one touchdown. Pollard has added eight catches for only 24 yards through five games.
Dameon Pierce, Philadelphia Eagles
Philadelphia Eagles running back Dameon Pierce led the team with a 61.1% running back rush share in a Week 5 loss to the Jaguars, and although he was only able to rack up 12 total yards on his 15 opportunities, he is a player who should be rostered ahead of the Eagles' Week 6 matchup against a more forgiving Panthers defense.
With All-Pro Saquon Barkley (hamstring) sidelined with a hamstring injury, Pierce was elevated from the practice squad and more than doubled Will Shipley's opportunities and touches in what remained a relatively neutral game script. While the results were not there against a formidable Jaguars front, the Panthers have been the third-best fantasy matchup for running backs, and if Barkley misses another week, Pierce can be considered as a flex play in deeper leagues.
Xavier Worthy, Kansas City Chiefs
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy is worth targeting on waivers ahead of Week 6, with injuries potentially opening a larger role in the passing game. Kansas City returns from its bye with Tyquan Thornton (ankle) expected to land on injured reserve, while Rashee Rice (hamstring) remains day-to-day after exiting the Week 4 victory over Las Vegas. Worthy caught four of seven targets for a season-high 70 yards in that game, including a 41-yard reception, after totaling just 63 receiving yards over his first three contests.
The third-year receiver has managed only 14 catches for 133 yards and one touchdown through four games, so there are still legitimate concerns about his weekly consistency. Rice could also return against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, and Travis Kelce remains a significant part of the passing attack.
However, Thornton's extended absence creates an opportunity for Worthy to become more involved downfield. Rostered in 58% of leagues and ranked sixth overall on RotoBaller's Week 6 waiver-wire board, Worthy warrants an add in leagues with 10 or more teams and carries WR3/FLEX upside if his opportunities increase.
Dontayvion Wicks, Philadelphia Eagles
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks is gaining value after a solid performance against the Jacksonville Jaguars this past weekend. The Eagles were without top wideout DoVonta Smith (hamstring), so Wicks stepped up as the top option in Week 5. The 25-year-old hauled in five of his eight targets for 63 yards in the loss.
Wicks has posted good performances this season, including two 70-plus yard games, but his value will take a hit once Smith is back. Wicks should be put in the deep league flex conversation for Week 6. He appears to have earned himself more opportunities in Philly.
Omarion Hampton, Los Angeles Chargers
Los Angeles Chargers running back Omarion Hampton had an inefficient effort in a 23-17 loss to the Denver Broncos in Week 5. Hampton carried the ball 14 times for 33 yards (2.4 yards per carry) and recorded one catch for six yards. He did not find the end zone.
While Hampton led the Chargers in rushing attempts, he was third on the team in rushing yards behind running back Kimani Vidal (57) and quarterback Justin Herbert (54). More discouraging for Hampton was the fact that both Vidal (27) and Keaton Mitchell (23) played more offensive snaps than Hampton (20). The Chargers have now fallen to 0-5 on the 2026 season, and their running back by committee remains difficult to figure out.
