South Carolina Wideouts Jayden Sellers, Jayden Gibson Out for Season
South Carolina wide receivers Jayden Sellers (lower body) and Jayden Gibson (lower body) won't play in 2026 due to lower-body injuries, according to Lulu Kesin of Greenville News. Sellers is the younger brother of starting quarterback LaNorris Sellers and caught 22 passes for 337 yards and one touchdown as a freshman. Gibson is set to miss his third straight season due to injuries. He began his career at Oklahoma, catching 15 passes for 387 yards and five touchdowns in 2022 and 2023. "I am extremely disappointed for both of these young men," head coach Shane Beamer said. "I know how hard each of them has worked over the spring and summer in getting ready for 2026 to help our team. I have full confidence they will both overcome the adversity they're facing, and we will help them in whatever way we can throughout the rehab process moving forward." Nyck Harbor, Nitro Tuggle, and Mazeo Bennett Jr. are expected to start in three-wide sets for the Gamecocks.
