Addison Barger Out of Lineup for Game 2 of ALDS
Addison Barger isn't in the starting lineup for Game 2 of the ALDS against the New York Yankees on Sunday. The lefty-swinging Barger, who went 1-for-4 in a 10-1 rout on Saturday, will take a seat with southpaw Max Fried on the mound. Ernie Clement will cover third base and hit sixth versus left-hander Max Fried, while Isiah Kiner-Falefa will play second and bat seventh. Barger put up a .243/.301/.454 line with 21 homers, 74 RBI, 61 runs, and four stolen bases over 502 plate appearances during the Jays' AL East-winning regular season. However, he did little damage against lefties, who held him to a .217/.270/.337 line with one HR in 89 trips to the plate. While it's a small sample, Kiner-Falefa has gone an impressive 4-for-8 with two RBI off Fried.
