Robert Hassell III Goes Deep Again, Extends Hitting Streak to Seven Games
Robert Hassell III continued to swing a hot bat as he went deep for the second-straight contest on Thursday evening. Facing Triple-A Scranton, the No. 11-ranked prospect in D.C. went 3-for-5 with a long ball and a stolen base. This outing also extended his current hitting streak to seven games. During this impressive stretch, the 23-year-old has posted a .464/.545/.714 slash line with eight RBI, two home runs, and two stolen bases. Earlier this season, Hassell made his MLB debut but struggled, holding a modest .218/.228/.269 slash line with a .497 OPS across a 21-game stint. Given his impressive production at Triple-A, Hassell should be in the mix to return to the majors in the near future.
