Corbin Carroll Absent Again on Monday
Corbin Carroll (hand) continues to sit out of the lineup for Monday's series opener in Chicago against the White Sox. Randal Grichuk is making another start in right field and will hit seventh against White Sox right-hander Shane Smith. Carroll is missing his fifth straight game on Monday with a bruised left hand. The 24-year-old is undergoing an MRI exam and could end up landing on the 10-day injured list if he cannot return to the field sooner than later. If he does land on the IL, fantasy managers should keep him stashed in all leagues as one of the best all-around contributors in the game. The former first-rounder is currently slashing .255/.341/.573 with a .914 OPS, 20 long balls, 44 RBI, 57 runs and 10 steals in 2025. Grichuk has actually fared better against righties on the year but still makes for a low-upside DFS streamer with only three homers on the year. UPDATE: Manager Torey Lovullo said Carroll is available in "small spurts and small segments" like pinch-running. The concern level over the situation is "probably a little higher than it has been over the past couple of days."
