Shedeur Sanders Top Landing Spots: 2025 NFL Draft Outlook

Shedeur Sanders - College Football Rankings, NCAA CFB DFS Lineup Picks

Which teams are potential landing spots for quarterback prospect Shedeur Sanders for fantasy football? Joey breaks down all the top landing spots for Shedeur Sanders.

The NFL Draft is one of the best times of the offseason, as over 200 prospects will hear their names called on stage. One prospect who will certainly be selected early in the 2025 NFL Draft is Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders. Sanders is coming off an impressive final college season with the Buffaloes and will likely be a top-10 pick in April's draft.

He threw for 4,134 yards, 37 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions across 13 games this past college season. Sanders also completed an impressive 74 percent of his passes, which led all FBS quarterbacks with at least 100 passes attempted. Now, the big question is which team will take a chance on the young quarterback in the draft.

So, let's dive in and look at five potential landing spots for Sanders in the draft.

Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans will have the opportunity to take any player they want in the 2025 NFL Draft. However, there's a good chance their first pick will be a quarterback. Although Miami (FL) quarterback Cameron Ward is the current favorite to go No. 1 overall to the Titans, we shouldn't completely rule out Sanders to Tennessee just yet.

He has already taken a top-30 visit there, and the team is desperately in the market for a franchise-caliber quarterback. Last season, Tennessee quarterbacks (Will Levis and Mason Rudolph) threw just 22 touchdowns to 21 interceptions. With Rudolph leaving in free agency, that leaves just Levis and newcomer Brandon Allen on the active roster.

It would be a complete shock to see Tennessee roll with Levis for another season after struggling for most of his sophomore campaign. Therefore, Sanders is a possibility at No. 1. If the Titans feel like the Colorado quarterback has what it takes to be their franchise quarterback, they definitely wouldn't think twice about selecting him.

Cleveland Browns

The Cleveland Browns could go many different routes at the top of the draft. Assuming Ward goes No. 1 overall, the Browns could select Abdul Carter, Travis Hunter, or Sanders with the second overall pick. All three prospects would instantly make this Cleveland team much better heading into the 2025-26 season.

Given the team's quarterback troubles over the past few years, though, Sanders could be a nice fit for Cleveland. Deshaun Watson tore his Achilles again in January and faces a long road to recovery. Even when Watson was healthy, the veteran didn't deliver the best numbers under center. He has thrown for 3,365 yards, 19 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions combined across the past three seasons.

As a result, Sanders could be selected second overall. He would likely be the team's QB1 from the jump and has the potential to be Cleveland's franchise quarterback for many years to come. It's hard to see the Browns passing on the Colorado product, considering Watson and Kenny Pickett are the only two quarterbacks on the active roster.

New York Giants

The New York Giants are another team picking in the top three that needs long-term quarterback help. After going 3-14 and finishing last in the NFC East this past season, the Giants will be looking to find their franchise quarterback early in the 2025 NFL Draft. Luckily, they currently own the third overall pick. That selection could turn out to be Sanders.

If the 23-year-old makes it to New York, there's almost no way the team would pass on him. The Giants have two older quarterbacks on their active roster (Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston), and Sanders could be the long-term answer for this franchise. Even though New York added both Wilson and Winston in free agency, the Colorado star should still be in play at No. 3.

Now, the Giants might try to move up a couple of spots in the draft to ensure they get one of the top two quarterbacks in the class. But Sanders to New York is a strong possibility. This would also be one of the better landing spots for him in the draft. Having an elite wide receiver in Malik Nabers should help with his development.

New York Jets

The New York Jets could be eyeing Sanders with the seventh overall pick. Although they just signed Justin Fields to a two-year deal in free agency, the Jets might not view Fields as their long-term answer. If that's the case, then the Colorado quarterback could be a possibility for New York early in the first round.

However, this landing spot would almost surely see Sanders in a backup role to begin his career. Given the offseason addition of Fields, the new Jets quarterback would likely get the first crack at the starting job in training camp. That would mean Sanders could sit his entire first year before possibly getting a chance to overtake the starting job in Year 2.

The only way Sanders could wind up with the Jets is if the Titans, Browns, and Giants all pass on him in the top three. Therefore, this landing spot is more of a long shot. Still, we shouldn't overlook it because Fields might only be a bridge quarterback until New York finds its franchise signal-caller.

New Orleans Saints

The New Orleans Saints are in a tough spot entering the 2025-26 season. They have no money to spend in free agency, and there's not a lot of young talent on the roster. Quarterback Derek Carr will also be entering his age-34 season next year. However, grabbing Sanders in the draft could drastically change the outlook of this franchise.

Sanders would give Saints fans some hope for the future while emerging as a potential franchise quarterback for years to come. That could make him a real target for New Orleans at ninth overall. Although Carr would still likely be the starter in 2025, the team might be in the market for a quarterback in the draft, given the veteran's age.

This landing spot would almost ensure that the young quarterback sits behind Carr for at least one year. But there's no reason why he couldn't eventually take over this starting job in Year 2. If the Titans, Browns, Giants, and Jets all pass on him in the top seven, then the Saints become a strong possibility for Sanders in the 2025 NFL Draft.
