Who Should I Start for Fantasy Football Week 12? Ladd McConkey, Jayden Reed, Marvin Harrison Jr.

Ladd McConkey - Fantasy Football Rankings, Rookies, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Who should I start for Week 12? Fantasy football outlooks for Ladd McConkey, Jayden Reed, Marvin Harrison Jr. Our expert fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks.

Week 12 is shaping up to be a grind for fantasy football managers, with six teams on bye and rosters stretched to the limit. Navigating these bye-week blues means leaning on players who might normally ride your bench but have the potential to step up when it matters most. It’s all about finding those hidden gems and making the right calls.

This week, we’re taking a closer look at Ladd McConkey, Jayden Reed, and Marvin Harrison Jr.—three wide receivers in intriguing situations as we head into another crucial slate of games. Each of them brings a unique mix of upside and uncertainty, and figuring out how they fit into your lineup could make all the difference.

In a week where options are slim, finding that sweet spot between reliability and upside is more important than ever. Whether you’re gunning for a playoff spot or battling to keep your season alive, breaking down their outlooks can help guide those tough start/sit decisions. Let’s dive into what McConkey, Reed, and Harrison Jr. bring to the table for Week 12.

Should I Start Ladd McConkey for Fantasy Football?

Ladd has been a solid wide receiver as a rookie in 2024. He is currently second among all rookie receivers in receiving yards (615), second in receptions (43), tied for third in touchdowns (4), and is second in yards per routes run (YPRR) at 2.24. Impressive!

He's got one of the safer floors of any wide receiver in fantasy, averaging 6.2 targets per game. However, he has gone over 100-plus receiving yards just twice. Ladd is a solid play in fantasy but might not have the kind of upside you need against tougher opponents, but against the Ravens secondary in Week 12, he's a must-start.

Should I Start Jayden Reed for Fantasy Football?

Jayden Reed has been quietly making a name for himself, showing flashes of brilliance as he carves out a meaningful role in the Packers’ passing attack. Quarterback Jordan Love has dealt with injuries this season, missing two games early on, but Reed’s versatility in the slot and his ability to get manufactured touches keep him fantasy-relevant.

While Reed only saw two targets in the Packers’ 20-19 win over the Bears in Week 11, he has a much juicier matchup on deck against the 49ers. His role in the short and intermediate passing game gives him a solid floor, and with Love under center, Reed gets a slight edge in trustworthiness over some other options.

If you’re looking for a sneaky play this week, Reed is worth considering. His matchup and involvement in the offense make him a strong flex option, especially in deeper leagues.

Should I Start Marvin Harrison Jr. for Fantasy Football?

Marvin Harrison Jr. was one of the most highly touted wide receiver prospects heading into his rookie season of any wide receiver in recent memory.

So far, he's showcased some elite playmaking abilities but has just two games with 100-plus yards receiving this season. Through 10 games, MHJ has 33 receptions for 499 yards (15.1 avg) and six touchdowns. The good news is he's coming off a bye in Week 11, and we know a lot of rookies have seen a bump in targets afterward.

Due to the favorable matchup against the Baltimore Ravens secondary, McConkey is the recommendation to start, but all three wide receivers are solid options the rest of the way.
