New York Jets running back Breece Hall was the first ball carrier off the board in the 2023 NFL Draft and was the consensus No. 1 overall pick in dynasty rookie drafts (including Superflex). Needless to say, his Week 7 ACL tear was a major bummer for the New York offense and fantasy managers alike.
However, since his significant knee injury came so early in the season, there's a real chance he could be back in action by Week 1 of 2023. Whether he's ready for action right away or not will be significant for his 2023 ADP and dynasty trade value, so this is certainly a situation worth monitoring.

Breece Hall Injury Update for Fantasy Football
Hall (knee) has been talking with other RBs around the league that have come back from ACL surgery, and he thinks he can be ready for training camp this summer. Hall said that he's progressing ahead of schedule. It's something to be optimistic about for Jets fans and dynasty managers, but we should take it with a grain of salt until we hear more about his timeline later in the offseason.
The Jets will surely be careful with their potential superstar running back and his availability will be a huge topic of discussion when the 2023 season arrives.
Breece Hall 2023 Fantasy Outlook
Before tearing his ACL in October, the 21-year-old had 80 carries for 463 yards (5.8 YPC) and four touchdowns while adding 19 receptions for 218 yards and another score. He did this despite sharing a ton of backfield work with Michael Carter early in the season. He was out of action before he truly commanded a workhorse role for a significant stretch.
Once healthy, he should be eased into that role once again. It remains to be seen who will be the Jets' quarterback in 2023, but he played his short rookie season with Joe Flacco and Zach Wilson at signal-caller, so he might be QB-proof thanks to his receiving upside and elite profile.
Despite his serious knee injury, Hall has the makings of a high-end RB1 moving forward without the hefty draft capital you are usually forced to pay for a guy with his skill set in redraft formats.
