Blake Snell To Pitch In Game 3 Against Dodgers
Blake Snell will get the start in Game 3 of the National League Division Series on Friday at Petco Park against the division-rival Los Angeles Dodgers. Snell only lasted 3 1/3 innings in the Game 2 loss to the New York Mets in the Wild-Card Series last Saturday, allowing two earned runs on four hits while walking six and striking out five. The 29-year-old southpaw will need to throw more strikes and be much more efficient if he wants to have a different outcome against a dangerous Dodgers lineup. Snell made three starts against LA in the 2022 regular season and went 0-1 while allowing six earned runs on 12 hits with 10 walks and 23 strikeouts in 14 innings pitched. On a positive note, he did throw five shutout frames against them in his most recent outing on Sept. 27.
