Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 3:
Malachi Fields, New York Giants
New York Giants wide receiver Malachi Fields has some sleeper potential coming into a very favorable part of the schedule for the Giants. In Week 2, Fields finished third on the team in receptions and second in targets while hauling in two of his six targets for 30 yards. While Jaxson Dart (knee) could miss time, Jameis Winston takes enough deep shots to still make Fields worth considering coming into matchups against the Titans, Cardinals, and Commanders over the next three weeks.
Those teams all rank in the top 10 in most fantasy points allowed to receivers, and if the rookie from Notre Dame keeps getting so many targets, he should remain usable in deep leagues. Malik Nabers (shoulder) dealt with an injury in Week 2 against the Rams, and if he misses any time going forward, Fields would be an even stronger play. If you can add him to your receiver depth, it could be a move that pays off, especially over the next few weeks.
Mike Washington Jr., Las Vegas Raiders
Las Vegas Raiders running back Mike Washington Jr. remains a worthwhile stash even though his Week 2 role stayed small. Washington carried three times for seven yards and drew one target in Sunday's win over the Chargers after rushing seven times for 41 yards in the opener. Ashton Jeanty briefly left with an ankle injury but returned and continues to dominate the backfield, leaving Washington with limited standalone value.
The rookie is still listed second on the Raiders' unofficial depth chart and has 10 carries for 48 yards through two games. That makes the appeal fairly straightforward. Washington is not someone fantasy managers need to force into lineups, but he would be positioned for a much larger workload if Jeanty were forced to miss time.
RotoBaller recommends adding him in 12-team leagues and deeper. For now, Washington fits best as a bench stash with upside rather than an aggressive waiver claim.
Germie Bernard, Pittsburgh Steelers
Pittsburgh Steelers rookie wide receiver Germie Bernard saw eight targets in Week 2's loss to the New England Patriots with Michael Pittman missing the game. Bernard, serving as the WR3 for the Steelers, caught four of those eight targets for 35 yards. The rookie second-round pick out of Alabama had the most receiving yards of any Steelers pass catcher and was second in targets to DK Metcalf.
It was a good showing for Bernard, and with Pittman sidelined, Bernard could emerge as a nice receiving threat for Aaron Rodgers. Pittman is considered day-to-day with his foot injury, but should he miss Week 3 against the Cincinnati Bengals, then Bernard could have another fairly big role in the passing game.
The Steelers offense hasn't really gotten going yet this season, but Bernard can help in the long-term. While he has not entered FLEX territory yet, those in deeper three-WR leagues should view him as a sneaky stash target with upside ahead of Week 3.
Antonio Williams, Washington Commanders
Washington Commanders wide receiver Antonio Williams caught all three of his targets for 24 yards in Week 2's loss to the Dallas Cowboys. The rookie receiver out of Clemson has been good so far this season after catching four passes for 64 yards and a touchdown in Week 1 against Philadelphia. At 5-foot-11, 195 pounds, Williams operates mostly in the slot and is fighting for the No. 3 wide receiver role with Washington behind Terry McLaurin and Stefon Diggs.
He's shown some promise, but with quarterback Jayden Daniels set to miss some time, it puts a cap on all the Washington receivers' fantasy value. Williams has done a nice job so far in his rookie season, but it might be worth a close examination on the waiver wire.
It is a risky move to pick up Williams as a starting receiver for your fantasy team, although he does have some deep-league value. He's best left on the bench in Week 3 but could see his value continue to rise as the season progresses.
Chris Bell, Miami Dolphins
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Chris Bell was held without a catch on one target in the team's Week 2 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. The rookie receiver out of Louisville has yet to display his potential through the first two weeks of the season and really hasn't been looked for all that much by quarterback Malik Willis. Bell was a third-round pick in the 2026 draft, so he clearly has some potential.
At 6-foot-2 and 220 pounds, he is on the larger side for a wide receiver. He had one catch for 25 yards on two targets in Week 1 against the Las Vegas Raiders. Bell has an opportunity in what is a fairly thin wide receiver room with the Dolphins. However, despite his underwhelming start, Bell has a path for an increase in targets with Caleb Douglas currently sidelined.
While the team has not announced if Douglas will miss time, Bell profiles as a worthy stash target ahead of a potential increase in snaps.
