Who should I start for Week 17? Fantasy football outlooks for T.J. Hockenson, Dalton Kincaid, Zach Ertz. Our expert fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks.
Fantasy players who drafted Brock Bowers, George Kittle, or Trey McBride couldn’t be happier. Those tight ends have been solid in most weeks, and have helped fantasy football players all season long.
However, many fantasy players have spent the season scrambling to fill their tight end spot every week with consistent production. We're here to try and help you make the right start/sit decision in Week 17, and avoid the headache in the fantasy championships.
Should fantasy players start T.J. Hockenson, Dalton Kincaid, or Zach Ertz during their championship game in Week 17?
Should I Start T.J. Hockenson For Fantasy Football?
Hockenson is the TE33 for the year, averaging 6.9 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. The veteran tight end missed the first seven games this season, recovering from a significant knee injury he suffered last year. However, Hockenson has looked healthy and played well since returning to the lineup.

The star tight end faces the Green Bay Packers on Sunday in a critical NFC North matchup. Green Bay has surrendered 10.4 fantasy points per game to tight ends, the 10th-most in the NFL. They have given up 17.2 or more fantasy points to tight ends in two of their past five contests. Hockenson is a solid low-end TE1 this week.
Should I Start Dalton Kincaid For Fantasy Football?
Many had high hopes for Kincaid this season after the Buffalo Bills moved on from Stefon Diggs. However, he is only the TE24 for the season, averaging 6.3 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. The second-year pro has struggled to find the end zone, totaling two receiving touchdowns in 12 contests.

Unfortunately, Kincaid is a risky low-end TE1 in Week 17 because of the matchup against the New York Jets. They have held tight ends to 8.3 fantasy points per game, the ninth-fewest in the NFL. However, the Jets have surrendered 12.8 or more fantasy points to tight ends in three of their past four outings.
Should I Start Zach Ertz For Fantasy Football?
Ertz has had a solid first year with the Washington Commanders. The veteran tight end has been a reliable target for Jayden Daniels, totaling four receiving touchdowns. More importantly, he is the TE13 for the season, averaging 7.3 half-point PPR fantasy points per game.

The veteran tight end faces the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday night. Atlanta has surrendered 8.8 fantasy points per game to tight ends, slightly below the league average. Ertz is a decent starting tight end for fantasy players in standard-size leagues.
