Who Should I Start For Fantasy Football Week 17? Calvin Austin, Jaylen Warren, Mike Williams

Jaylen Warren - Fantasy Football Rankings, Waiver Wire Pickups, Draft Sleepers

Who should I start for Week 17? Fantasy football outlooks for Calvin Austin, Jaylen Warren, Mike Williams. Our expert fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks.

The 2024 NFL regular season is nearly over. Week 17 kicks off on Christmas Day with an entertaining doubleheader, and the fantasy championships are on the line for most.

Fantasy football players and fans get two exciting matchups on Christmas Day. The Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers play in the first game of the week.

Should fantasy players start Calvin Austin III, Jaylen Warren, or Mike Williams in Week 17 on Christmas Day? Let's dive in and take a closer look.

Should I Start Calvin Austin For Fantasy Football?

Austin is the WR54 for the year, averaging 6.5 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. The young wide receiver has played well lately, averaging 8.7 fantasy points per game over the past five weeks, totaling 8.5 or more in all but one contest.

Last week, he had an impressive sideline catch in the loss to the Baltimore Ravens. However, Austin isn’t worth starting in standard-size leagues in Week 17 against the Chiefs. George Pickens will return to the lineup after missing the past three games with a hamstring injury.

Should I Start Jaylen Warren For Fantasy Football?

Warren is the RB41 for the year, averaging 6.9 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. Last week, the former undrafted free-agent running back had 12 rushing attempts for 48 yards and five receptions for 44 receiving yards, totaling 11.7 fantasy points. He has scored 8.2 or more fantasy points in six of seven games since the team’s Week 9 bye.

The third-year pro has seen more snaps lately because of the game script. Pittsburgh has trailed in several games lately, leading to Warren getting more snaps over Najee Harris. Fantasy players should expect a similar result in Week 17 against the Chiefs.

Should I Start Mike Williams For Fantasy Football?

Williams is the WR105 for the year, averaging 2.7 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. The veteran wide receiver hasn’t had much fantasy impact for Pittsburgh and the New York Jets. However, he has made plays for the Steelers, including a few downfield receptions.

Unfortunately, Williams has no fantasy value, even in the deepest leagues. The veteran wide receiver has scored 3.9 or fewer fantasy points in five of the past six games, including last week.
