Should I Start Jonathan Taylor For Fantasy Football?
Many drafted Taylor as a top-5 running back and a first-round pick this season. Unfortunately, the superstar is the RB25 for the year, averaging 13.5 half-point PPR fantasy points per game after missing three contests with an injury. More importantly, he has only five rushing touchdowns this season, totaling zero since Week 8.

Taylor faces the Denver Broncos on Sunday in a critical matchup with playoff implications. The Broncos have held running backs to 19.5 fantasy points per game, the league average. However, they haven’t surrendered a rushing touchdown to a running back over their last four outings. Taylor is a risky low-end RB2 against Denver’s talented defense.
Should I Start Gus Edwards For Fantasy Football?
The veteran running back has only two rushing touchdowns this season after totaling a career-high 13 in 2023. Edwards is the RB62 for the year, averaging 4.5 half-point PPR fantasy points per game after missing time with an injury. However, he is coming off a solid performance against the Kansas City Chiefs, totaling 9.6 fantasy points and a rushing touchdown.

After facing an elite run defense in Week 14, Edwards has a solid matchup this week. The veteran running back faces the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They have surrendered 20 fantasy points per game to running backs, slightly above the league average. However, the Buccaneers haven’t given up a rushing touchdown over the past two weeks, making Edwards a mid-range flex option.
Should I Start Jaleel McLaughlin For Fantasy Football?
Last week, the Denver Broncos had their bye. However, McLaughlin had a strong performance in the Week 13 matchup against the Cleveland Browns. The second-year running back had 14 rushing attempts for 84 yards and 8.9 half-point PPR fantasy points, setting season-highs in attempts and yards.
McLaughlin has been part of a messy Broncos backfield, totaling only one rushing touchdown this year. However, he has an appealing matchup on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts. They have surrendered 22.8 fantasy points per game to running backs, the fifth-most in the NFL. McLaughlin is a risky flex option this week.
