While many fantasy players spent an early-round draft pick on a big-name tight end like Sam LaPorta or Travis Kelce, neither has worked out.
By comparison, Brock Bowers and George Kittle were mid-round picks. Both players have been outstanding fantasy football tight ends this season.
Meanwhile, David Njoku, Tucker Kraft, and Juwan Johnson have played well lately. Which tight end should fantasy players start in Week 15?
Should I Start David Njoku For Fantasy Football?
Njoku is the TE9 for the year despite missing time with an ankle injury. The star tight end has been outstanding since Jameis Winston took over under center. He has averaged 9.7 targets and 12.2 half-point PPR fantasy points per game, with Winston starting, totaling three receiving touchdowns over the past three weeks.

However, the former first-round pick is officially questionable to suit up on Sunday due to a hamstring injury. The belief is that he is on the wrong side of questionable, so fantasy managers should be ready to pivot should he be ruled out.
The star tight end has an excellent matchup in Week 15 against the Kansas City Chiefs. They have surrendered 13 fantasy points per game to tight ends, the third-most in the NFL. The Chiefs have given up 17 receptions for 218 receiving yards and 36.5 fantasy points to tight ends over the past two weeks. Njoku is a must-start tight end against Kansas City if he can go.

Should I Start Tucker Kraft For Fantasy Football?
Kraft has been one of the top surprises in fantasy football this season. He is the TE6 for the year, averaging 8.8 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. The second-year pro has played well, totaling seven receiving touchdowns, including two in the past three games.

Last week, Kraft had three receptions on five targets for 41 receiving yards, a touchdown, and 11.6 fantasy points against the Detroit Lions. He has scored 9.6 or more fantasy points in three consecutive games. Meanwhile, the second-year pro faces a Seattle Seahawks defense that has surrendered 85.7 receiving yards and 1.9 fantasy points per game to tight ends over their past three matchups. He is a mid-range TE1.
Should I Start Juwan Johnson For Fantasy Football?
Unfortunately, the New Orleans Saints will be without Chris Olave (concussion), Rashid Shaheed (knee), and Taysom Hill (knee) for the rest of the season. However, Johnson stepped up for the Saints last week in the win over the New York Giants, totaling four receptions for 50 receiving yards, a touchdown, and 13 half-point PPR fantasy points.

The veteran tight end faces the Washington Commanders in Week 15. They have surrendered 12.1 fantasy points per game to tight ends over their past five contests, giving up double digits in three matchups. Johnson is a solid streaming option with some upside this week against Washington.
