Mid-Week Waiver Wire Rankings - Fantasy Baseball Pickups Include Matthew Liberatore, Mark Vientos, Taj Bradley, Gavin Stone, more

Matthew Liberatore - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Prospects News

Mid-week fantasy baseball waiver wire rankings for Week 9 (2023). Free agent hitters and pitchers to add include Matthew Liberatore, Mark Vientos, Taj Bradley.

RotoBallers, welcome to our mid-week fantasy baseball waiver wire rankings for Week 9 - May 22nd through May 28th - to help you get a stay on top of the waiver wire, especially in leagues that allow daily moves. We are already halfway through May and are seeing more top prospects being called up to the big leagues. Matt McLain, Matthew Liberatore, and Mark Vientos were all called up recently. Taj Bradley will get another shot in the majors with all the injuries to Tampa Bay's starting rotation. We will see if Eury Perez can build on his strong debut in Thursday's matchup against the Nationals.

Fantasy managers might have some injured stars return soon, such as Chicago White Sox outfielder Eloy Jimenez (shoulder), who could return next weekend, while Cleveland Guardians Triston McKenzie (shoulder) has a rehab start on Saturday. Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Tyler Glasnow (oblique) will also make at least one more rehab start before making his long-awaited season debut. Notable injury notes include Los Angeles Ddgers pitcher Dustin May (elbow), out 4-to-6 weeks with a right flexor pronator strain, while San Diego Padres star third baseman Manny Machado has a fracture in his hand and is expected to be placed on the injured list. The ball is flying out of the yard as offenses are heating up. We are here to help sort it all out with our latest waiver wire rankings article.

This week's waiver wire rankings feature players such as Matt McLain, Matthew Liberatore, Mark Vientos, Triston Casas, Taj Bradley, Nick Pratto, Louie Varland, Michael King, Wandy Peralta, Alex Kirilloff, Jake Burger, rank early, among others. We have also expanded our waiver wire list from the top 60 to 80 players for the week. Read more to see where these players rank in the early waiver wire rankings for Week 9.

Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Pickups List

For anyone who isn't familiar, every Friday, Saturday and Sunday we release all sorts of fantasy baseball waiver wire articles. As part of that, Nick Mariano releases our waiver wire rankings list on Sundays to help you prioritize which players to target as free agent adds off waivers.

In addition to that, we are also putting out a second waiver wire rankings list mid-week. Since many fantasy baseball leagues have daily waiver wire moves, or multiple waiver wire runs per week for adding players, this mid-week rankings list should help you keep track of players emerging in the middle of the week before we reach Sunday.

Below you will see our list of waiver wire pickups, in our prioritized order. There should be waiver wire recommendations here for all sorts of league sizes, along with the position(s) for the player and the rostered percentages.
