Yankees Hoping Luis Severino Can Return In 2-3 Weeks
Luis Severino (lat) will be back in their starting rotation within the next two to three weeks, according to manager Aaron Boone. Severino is slated to start a minor-league rehab assignment with High-A Tampa later this week, and barring any setbacks down on the farm, he should rejoin the Yankees' rotation in the middle of May. Before being activated from the 15-day injured list, the 29-year-old right-hander is expected to make at least two rehab starts. Injuries have been an issue for the two-time All-Star, but he has ace potential for fantasy managers when he's healthy, so he needs to be stashed in all formats with his 2023 debut just around the corner.
