William Jackson III Could Be Traded
2 years agoWashington Commanders cornerback William Jackson III (back) wants a fresh start, preferably with a team that has a defensive scheme that fits him better. The Commanders have engaged in trade talks centered around him with hopes of making something happen, according to sources. There has been interest in Jackson from several teams. The likelihood is that Jackson is traded long before the Nov. 1 trade deadline. Jackson was pulled in the Week 5 loss to the Tennessee Titans and will not play on Thursday night against the Chicago Bears due to a back injury. The former first-rounder of the Bengals in 2016 signed a three-year, $42 million deal in 2021 with the Commanders.
