Washington Adds Corn Elder To Active Roster
3 years agoThe Washington Football Team signed veteran cornerback Corn Elder to their active roster on Wednesday off of the Carolina Panthers practice squad, according to his agent. The move comes after Washington placed Darryl Roberts (quadriceps) on Injured Reserve. A fifth-round pick by the Panthers in 2017, Elder managed 40 tackles (28 solo), three passes defensed and a forced fumble in 16 games (one start) for Carolina last season. The 27-year-old will likely provide depth for Washington's struggling secondary in the short term.
