The Buffalo Bills and defensive lineman Vernon Butler agreed to terms on a reduced deal on Wednesday, according to an informed source. Butler was set to have a $7.8 million salary cap hit in 2021 in the last of a two-year deal, according to Spotrac. He also had a dead-cap hit of $1 million, which made him a potential cap casualty. But instead of being cut, Butler took a pay cut, similar to what center Mitch Morse did earlier in the week to help the team save $2 million. In his first season in Buffalo last year, the 26-year-old defensive tackle had 18 combined tackles (five for loss), two QB hits, one pass defensed, one forced fumble and no sacks in 14 games. Butler became a rotational player toward the end of the season and will likely keep that same role heading into 2021.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
