Twins Call Up Kyle Garlick From Minors
2 years agoThe Minnesota Twins called up outfielder Kyle Garlick from Triple-A St. Paul to take shortstop Kyle Farmer's (jaw) spot on the roster. The Twins also moved outfielder Gilberto Celestino (thumb) to the 60-day injured list. Garlick, a right-handed hitter, could see some playing time in Minnesota's outfield against left-handed pitchers, but he shouldn't be on the radar of those in mixed fantasy leagues. The 31-year-old has a career slash line of just .229/.281/.439 with a .720 OPS, 17 home runs and 37 RBI in 144 games played over his four major-league seasons. Before the call-up, Garlick had two home runs in the minor leagues.
