Texans To Pass On C.J. Stroud At No. 2 Overall?
2 years agoESPN draft analyst Todd McShay keeps hearing from people around the league that the Houston Texans will not take Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud at No. 2 overall this Thursday night. It really sounds like the Texans will pass on the quarterbacks, which goes against everything we've thought for months leading up to the NFL draft. If that's the case, Houston could trade back, and the Colts (No. 4) and Texans (No. 11) are both intrigued by the top QBs in this year's class. The Texans also have the No. 12 overall selection in the first round. Some sources are convinced they'll take Alabama edge rusher Will Anderson Jr. if they stay put at No. 2. Texas Tech edge rusher Tyree Wilson is also connected to the Texans with this pick.
