Taylor Ward Back In The Lineup
1 year agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Taylor Ward (groin) is back in the starting lineup on Friday to start the second half of the season against the visiting Houston Astros and right-hander J.P. France. Ward is getting the start in left field and is batting third in the order. The 29-year-old was dealing with a minor groin injury at the end of the first half of the season, but he got the necessary time to rest up during the All-Star break and is good to go this weekend. He should continue to see regular playing time for the Halos with Mike Trout (wrist) out for the foreseeable future. In 305 at-bats in the first half, Ward slashed .243/.318/.377 with nine home runs, 14 doubles, 31 RBI, three stolen bases and 48 runs scored in 83 games.
