Solomon Thomas Re-Signs One-Year Deal With Jets
2 years agoVeteran defensive lineman Solomon Thomas re-signed a one-year deal worth up to $3.9 million on Wednesday to return to the New York Jets, according to a source. The San Francisco 49ers' former first-round pick (third overall) in 2017 will return for a second season with Gang Green after posting 26 tackles (13 solo), half a sack and four QB hits in 17 regular season games (zero starts) in 2022. Head coach Robert Saleh served as Thomas' defensive coordinator from 2017 to 2020, so they have plenty of familiarity. The 27-year-old is likely to continue serving in a rotational role on the Jets defensive line, which puts him off the fantasy radar in IDP leagues.
