2 years agoThe San Francisco Giants placed right-hander Ross Stripling (back) on the 15-day injured list (retroactive to May 18) with a lower-back strain on Friday and selected right-hander Ryan Walker's contract from Triple-A Sacramento in a corresponding move. Stripling exited his last start early with the back injury and will now be forced to miss at least the next two weeks. Fantasy managers in deep-mixed leagues shouldn't feel compelled to hold onto the 33-year-old right-hander, as he hasn't been very good in nine appearances (five starts) in 2023. Stripling is currently 0-2 with a bloated 7.24 ERA (6.73 FIP), 1.58 WHIP, 10 walks and 26 strikeouts in 32 1/3 innings pitched. There's a chance he'll return to a relief role later this month or in early June.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
