Dallas Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey rewarded fantasy managers in Week 1 with an 11-point performance against the Eagles, highlighted by a smooth 50-yard field goal. He's been automatic at home throughout his career, converting 100% of his field-goal attempts in Dallas -- a streak that speaks for itself. The Cowboys clearly trust him in any situation, and fantasy managers can share that confidence. Aubrey combines long-range leg strength with steady accuracy, making him as reliable as it gets at the kicker position. With Dallas' offense capable of moving the ball and stalling just enough for plenty of field-goal tries, he's set up for another strong outing. Start Aubrey with full confidence as a top-tier kicker. He offers one of the safest floors and plenty of upside every time he takes the field in AT&T Stadium.--Tipp Major

Tampa Bay Buccaneers kicker Chase McLaughlin didn't have great results during the season opener against the Atlanta Falcons last week. He went 1-for-2 on field goal attempts and 2-for-3 on extra point attempts in the win. McLaughlin missed a 44-yard field goal in the third quarter and snagged an extra point attempt in the fourth quarter. Not an ideal outing for McLaughlin, but he deserves the benefit of the doubt after missing only two field goals all of last season. He figures to remain busy given the Bucs high-powered offense. Fantasy managers should continue to ride with him as a streaming option for the Week 2 matchup against the Houston Texans on Monday night.--Andy Webb

Former San Francisco 49ers kicker Jake Moody is signing with the Chicago Bears practice squad on Friday, a source told Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. After struggling in the Week 1 win over the Seattle Seahawks last Sunday, the Niners cut Moody earlier this week. Moody is going to need to kick better to have a shot at replacing the veteran Cairo Santos after Santos missed one of his two field-goal tries in the season-opening loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Monday night. The 25-year-old Moody missed two of his three field goals in Week 1, continuing a downward trend after a solid rookie campaign in 2023. Right now, the former third-rounder will just be insurance for Santos in Chicago, and he should remain on the waiver wire in all leagues. Moody has made 74.2% of his 62 field-goal attempts in his three years in the NFL and 97.9% of his extra-point tries.--Keith Hernandez

Kicker Will Reichard of the Minnesota Vikings faces a middle-of-the-road matchup against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday night. The second-year kicker had a strong opening week in which he converted two field goal attempts at Chicago, including a key 59-yarder that helped Minnesota get something out of a poor first half offensively. Now back in the friendlier confines of indoor U.S. Bank Stadium, Reichard and the Vikings will take on a Falcons defense that held Tampa Bay to 260 yards of total offense in Week 1. Reichard has been solid when healthy, but the Vikings' offense is likely to be hot-and-cold as they break in a first-time starting quarterback this season.--Nick Piotrowicz

Seattle Seahawks kicker Jason Myers continues to be a quality option at the position. He should push for double-digit fantasy points when the Seahawks visit the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 2. Myers has remained accurate as Seattle's kicker. He booted home all of his field goal and extra point attempts in Week 1. The Seahawks found themselves in scoring position a handful of times, but they happened to collapse in Week 1. If they can clean up many of the miscues that plagued the offense in the opening game, the team should move the ball with ease against a Steelers defense that just allowed 32 points to the New York Jets. Start Myers with confidence in Week 2.--Quincy Milton III - RotoBaller

Las Vegas Raiders kicker Daniel Carlson kicked off his 2025 campaign with a solid Week 1 performance, tying for the No. 8 kicker spot with 11 fantasy points against the Patriots. The reliable Raiders specialist showcased his impressive leg strength by connecting from both 40 and 51 yards while adding a pair of extra points. Though he missed an ambitious 58-yard attempt before halftime, Carlson's powerful leg remains a valuable fantasy asset. Heading into Week 2, he faces a Chargers defense that surrendered 21 points to the Chiefs ' offense, suggesting ample scoring opportunities should be available. While not an elite option, Carlson's proven accuracy and favorable matchup position him as a dependable low-end starting kicker for managers seeking consistency from their special teams slot this weekend.--Shaun Albin

Carolina Panthers undrafted rookie kicker Ryan Fitzgerald had a solid professional debut, going 1-for-1 on field goals and converting his lone extra point in the Panthers' Week 1 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. The 48-yard field goal proved his leg strength, and his successful preseason, where he beat out veteran kicker Matthew Wright, shows he has the potential to be a fantasy asset. However, the Panthers' inability to consistently move the ball on offense will likely temper his fantasy outlook in Week 2. If the Panthers can find the offensive rhythm they finished the 2024 season with, Fitzgerald could become a great streaming option for fantasy managers down the road.--Jp Sticco

Detroit Lions kicker Jake Bates held up his end of the bargain in Week 1 against the Green Bay Packers, nailing both of his field goal attempts and an extra-point try in his team's 27-13 loss. Bates will not have to worry about any potential weather issues in Week 2, as the Lions return home to the domed Ford Field to take on the Chicago Bears. Bates has more career points scored (21) against Chicago than any other NFL team. The Lions should also have an easier time moving the football and generating scoring opportunities against the Bears than they did against the Packers. Bates profiles as a low-end top-12 fantasy kicker in Week 2 against Chicago.--Will Brady

Buffalo Bills kicker Matt Prater showed no ill effects from last season's meniscus injury in a 41-40 win over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1. Prater nailed all three of his field-goal attempts, including a 43-yarder at the end of the first half and a game-winning 32-yarder as time expired, and both extra points last Sunday. It was especially impressive considering Prater was out of the league just a few days before. With starter Tyler Bass (groin) on Injured Reserve, the Bills signed Prater, who will be their kicker for at least the next few weeks. The 41-year-old may not have age on his side, but he has been dependable throughout his career and should receive plenty of opportunities to rack up points with the Bills boasting one of the league's best offenses. Still available in 92% of Yahoo leagues, Prater looks like a worthwhile addition heading into a meeting with the New York Jets on Sunday.--Connor Byrne

Green Bay Packers kicker Brandon McManus looks to keep his solid run going in Week 2 as the Packers host the Washington Commanders on Thursday Night Football. McManus kicked two field goals from 38 and 34 yards out and converted all three of his extra point attempts in Week 1 as the Packers beat the Lions 27-19. In the regular season, McManus has missed just one kick in his Packers' career, so he's been reliable. Given that the Packers are on a trajectory to be one of the upper-echelon teams in the NFL, McManus should get plenty of opportunities in the future for Green Bay. He's startable in leagues with a kicker slot if you didn't get one of the top kickers in your draft.--Kevin Tompkins

Washington Commanders kicker Matt Gay did not attempt a field goal in their 21-6 Week 1 win over the Giants, but he converted all three extra points. Gay likely would have had a field-goal opportunity at the end of the first half, but Washington was called for an intentional-grounding penalty with a handful of seconds left and no timeouts left, leaving the clock to run out. The offense had other sloppy moments that ended potential scoring drives early, but they still moved the ball at will. In a projected shootout on Thursday night in Green Bay, Gay should be fired up as one of the top kicker options in Week 2.--Kyle McCarthy

Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said that rookie Andre Szmyt will kick for the team on Sunday in Week 2 against the division-rival Baltimore Ravens and said he expects the young kicker to get better. In his NFL debut in the one-point loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 1, Szmyt missed one of his two extra-point tries and also missed a 36-yard field-goal attempt that would have given Cleveland a lead in the fourth quarter on Sunday. The Browns are sticking with the Syracuse product for now, but if he continues to struggle, it will be interesting to see how long a leash Stefanski gives him. Szmyt connected on a field goal over 40 yards in his other try in his first regular-season NFL game. For fantasy purposes, stay away from the young kicker.--Keith Hernandez

The San Francisco 49ers are signing free-agent kicker Eddy Pineiro to an undisclosed deal on Tuesday after waiving struggling kicker Jake Moody earlier in the day, sources told Jordan Schultz of FOX Sports. Pineiro, 29, is currently the third-most accurate kicker in league history with an 88.1 percent success rate, which is behind only Justin Tucker and Harrison Butker. Pineiro spent the last three seasons kicking for the Carolina Panthers and went 80-for-90 on his field-goal tries, including going 8-for-11 from 50-plus yards, and 80-for-87 on extra points in 49 games. The 49ers are hoping that the veteran kicker can be much more effective than Moody has been, and he could quickly be on the fantasy radar as a streaming option in a strong matchup in Week 2 in a dome on the road against the New Orleans Saints if quarterback Brock Purdy (shoulder, toe) is active.--Keith Hernandez

The San Francisco 49ers are waiving kicker Jake Moody on Tuesday, a source told Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. Moody made 84 percent of his 25 field-goal attempts and led the league with 60 extra points made in his rookie campaign in 2023, but it quickly went downhill for him from there. The 25-year-old struggled in the postseason in 2023 and then made only 24 of his 35 field-goal tries in 14 games in his sophomore season a year ago. Moody then made just one of his three field-goal attempts (one was blocked) in the Week 1 win over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday to seal his fate in the Bay Area. He will now attempt to latch on with another team heading into Week 2. The Niners don't currently have another kicker on their roster, so they will be working out options this week to kick for them in Week 2 against the New Orleans Saints.--Keith Hernandez

The Atlanta Falcons are signing kicker Parker Romo to their practice squad, per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. Current Falcons kicker Younghoe Koo had a rough game in Week 1 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, missing a 44-yard field goal attempt that would have tied the game with under five seconds to go. Romo appeared in four games for the Minnesota Vikings in 2024, making 11 of his 12 field goal attempts and seven of eight extra-point attempts. Koo does not appear to have lost his job yet, but Atlanta has now brought in some competition in case he falters in a critical late-game situation again.--Will Brady
