Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end
Cade Otton hasn't been a very popular name in dynasty fantasy football leagues this offseason, but managers should consider acquiring the 26-year-old given the Bucs' moves so far. Most notably, the Buccaneers allowed wide receiver
Mike Evans to depart in free agency. He leaves behind a modest 61 targets from 2025, but he's just a few years removed from his 136-target campaign in 2023. Historically, Otton has thrived when Evans isn't on the field. In the 11 games where Evans was sidelined due to injury last year, Otton averaged 5.4 targets, 3.9 catches, and 36.8 yards per contest. The biggest red flag for Otton was that he didn't score a touchdown while Evans was sidelined; in fact, he didn't get into the end zone until Week 18. We expect him to have some positive touchdown regression, though, and he has legitimate top-15 upside with Evans out of town. Dynasty managers in need of a potential low-end TE1 or high-end TE2 should send out trade offers for Otton, because he can be acquired at a reasonable price this offseason.

Carolina Panthers wide receiver
Tetairoa McMillan had a very impressive rookie season, and he could be due for a Year 2 breakout in 2026. McMillan didn't find the end zone until Week 6 last year, but he still finished the season with seven touchdowns, as well as 70 catches and 1,014 receiving yards. These stats resulted in an impressive WR16 finish for the Arizona product in PPR leagues. He ultimately won Offensive Rookie of the Year and could be due for another major step forward with offensive coordinator Brad Idzik set to take over play-calling duties next year. McMillan fetched more than 25% of quarterback
Bryce Young's targets in 2025, and that proportion should remain consistent as Young attempts to take a step forward of his own next year. Even after a dominant rookie season, McMillan might still be underpriced in dynasty fantasy football, making him an appealing trade target going forward. He can be a top-12 receiver in redraft leagues next year, and he possesses real top-five upside in dynasty formats.

Minnesota Vikings tight end
T.J. Hockenson continues to trend in the wrong direction for dynasty fantasy football managers. Hockenson is coming off some of the worst seasons of his career. He was the TE26 and TE34 in the last two years, and he was limited to a modest 51 catches for 438 yards and two touchdowns in 2025. The good news for Hockenson is that he remains the No. 1 tight end in Minnesota after the team didn't bring in any significant competition during free agency. He could also get a slight quarterback upgrade, given that he'll be catching passes from the better half of
J.J. McCarthy or
Kyler Murray. With that said, a quarterback change can only do so much. Hockenson needs to get healthy and productive, two things he hasn't done since 2023. There's a little bit of buy-low appeal here in hopes that the veteran can bounce back as a top-18 fantasy tight end, but it's hard to envision a path to him ranking as a TE1 next year. He's more of a TE3 with TE2 upside.

Green Bay Packers quarterback
Jordan Love didn't quite live up to expectations during his third season as the team's starter in 2025. Love played 15 games, and his 3,381 passing yards and 23 touchdowns both represented his lowest marks since he took over for
Aaron Rodgers after the 2022 campaign. On a positive note, he kept turnovers to a minimum with just six interceptions and two fumbles. Love exploded as the overall QB5 in 2023, but he has been QB15 or lower in each of the last two years. This pattern has solidified Love as a top-18 fantasy option, but he's no longer a reliable top-12 quarterback. He should not be drafted as your primary quarterback in single-QB leagues next year, nor should he be targeted in offseason dynasty trades. He's merely a "hold" in most dynasty leagues for now.

Los Angeles Rams tight end
Terrance Ferguson is trending up in dynasty leagues ahead of the 2026 season. On the surface, managers may be hesitant to buy Ferguson in dynasty leagues. After all,
Colby Parkinson had a strong 2025 campaign, and the team unexpectedly re-signed
Tyler Higbee. The two combined for 68 catches, 689 yards, and 11 touchdowns, leaving very few targets to be distributed to other members of the position group. However, taking a closer look at this offense reveals a clear path to production for Ferguson. Parkinson is due for significant touchdown regression and has not previously shown that he can be a true No. 1 tight end. Meanwhile, Higbee is getting older and becoming injury-prone after missing 21 games over the last two seasons. That opens the door for Ferguson, who had five catches, 87 yards, and two touchdowns over his final two games as a rookie in 2025. Year 2 is a common time for tight ends to break out, and Ferguson has significant draft capital attached to him as a former second-round pick. We wouldn't be surprised if the Oregon product makes a tremendous leap given his strong finish to 2025, his draft capital, and his teammates' projected downturns.

The Buffalo Bills announced on Thursday that they signed free-agent wide receiver Trent Sherfield to an undisclosed one-year deal. Sherfield will return to the team that he spent the 2023 season with, catching 11 of 22 targets for 86 yards and one touchdown in 17 games. The 30-year-old veteran went undrafted out of Vanderbilt before joining the Arizona Cardinals and entering the league in 2018. Sherfield played in 12 games in 2025 with the Cardinals and Denver Broncos, catching just three passes for 21 yards on five targets. He has now played for six different NFL teams over the course of his eight seasons in the league, and he has 89 total catches for 1,034 yards and six touchdowns in 124 games played (14 starts). The Atlanta Falcons signed free-agent running back
Tyler Goodson to an undisclosed deal on Thursday, according to Will McFadden of AtlantaFalcons.com. Goodson, a Georgia native, will head to the NFC South after spending the first three years of his NFL career with the Indianapolis Colts. The 25-year-old former undrafted free agent only had 54 rushing attempts for 264 yards (4.9 yards per carry) and one touchdown in his 33 games (one start) with the Colts, adding 19 receptions on 27 targets for 103 yards and a touchdown through the air. In Atlanta, Goodson will be competing with Carlos Washington and
Nathan Carter for the RB3 role this summer, behind workhorse starter
Bijan Robinson and new backup
Brian Robinson Jr. He had just nine carries for 24 yards and caught two passes for eight yards in 11 games for Indy in 2025. Goodson can continue to be ignored in pretty much all fantasy leagues in 2026.

The Cleveland Browns are not expected to trade reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett this offseason, ESPN's Adam Schefter said on the Pat McAfee Show. When Schefter called the Browns due to rumors of a potential Garrett trade, they "said they're 100% not trading" Garrett. The Browns were "adamant" that they don't plan to trade the two-time Defensive Player of the Year. Cleveland just modified Garrett's contract, but it wasn't done with future intentions of trading him, but rather to give the team more salary cap flexibility. Schefter said that the Browns "couldn't have been stronger about it" in stating that they won't be moving one of the best pass-rushers in the game. It would really enrage the Browns' fan base if they traded Garrett, who set the single-season NFL sack record with 23. He's an elite IPD fantasy defensive lineman and has a whopping 125.5 sacks in the first nine years of his career.

The Athletic's Alec Lewis reports that the Indianapolis Colts and Philadelphia Eagles are two teams that could trade for Minnesota Vikings linebacker Jonathan Greenard. Both the Colts and Eagles are in win-now mode, have explored the possibilities of signing Trey Hendrickson and Jaelan Phillips, and have invested in edge rushers in recent years. Greenard would also be a good fit with both defensive coordinators Lou Anarumo of the Colts and Vic Fangio of the Eagles. The Colts have young edge rusher Laiatu Latu, but the depth behind him is questionable, at best. Greenard had 12 sacks in 2024, but that production dipped to just three sacks in Minnesota in 2025. He was more effective as a run-stopper, but he only played in 10 games due to injuries. Before 2024, Greenard had never played all 17 games in a season. Lewis thinks that anything less than a Day 2 pick in exchange for Greenard will be a deal-breaker.

The Athletic's Matt Schneidman reports that Green Bay Packers All-Pro pass-rusher Micah Parsons (knee) is expected to miss the first three or four games of the 2026 season while finishing his ACL rehab. Parsons will most likely be "scratching and clawing" to play before then, but the Packers aren't going to rush the star defensive end back before he's ready. The 26-year-old will most likely be placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list for the start of training camp at the end of July after he tore his ACL in the middle of December last year. Obviously, Parson's fantasy stock in IDP formats in 2026 will be affected by his injury, but he will still be worth stashing in those formats for his high-end upside once he returns. The former 12th overall pick in 2021 by the Dallas Cowboys out of Penn State has been a Pro Bowler in each of his five NFL seasons and has racked up a total of 65 sacks in 77 games. Before his injury last year in his first year with the Packers, Parsons had 12.5 sacks in 14 contests.

There has been confidence from the New York Jets and running back
Breece Hall that they can reach a long-term contract extension before the deadline in mid-July, but The Athletic's Zack Rosenblatt still thinks there's a "60-40" chance that Hall signs a deal versus playing on the franchise tag in 2026. General manager Darren Mougey's general philosophy is to hold off on extension talks until after free agency and the draft, so it's unlikely that the two sides agree on anything until May or later. The Jets must decide if it's worth it to them to pay an RB significant money on a long-term deal, and Hall must also decide if he wants to stay in New York long-term. The 24-year-old is a complete back and had a career-high 1,065 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 243 carries in 2025 while adding 36 catches for 350 yards and another score in 16 games. However, he finished as just the RB19 in half-PPR scoring, and his overall ceiling in fantasy could remain low as more of an RB2 while the Jets' offense, which quarterback
Geno Smith will lead in 2026, continues to hold him hostage.

The Cleveland Browns and reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett agreed on Thursday to modify the language in his contract that became official on Tuesday, league sources told Field Yates of ESPN. Garrett's previous contract called for his option bonuses in 2026, 2027, and 2028 to be exercised by the 15th day of the league year. In the amended deal, the date has been pushed back to seven days before the regular season each year. Additionally, Garrett had $8 million of his base salary in 2029 and 2030 moved into roster bonuses early in each league year. The Browns now have more flexibility to create salary cap space each year, while Garrett benefits from the modified option payments. The 30-year-old All-Pro pass-rusher agreed to a four-year extension with the Browns in March of last year before setting the league's single-season sack record with 23. It's the second time that Garrett has won Defensive Player of the Year, also taking home the honors in 2023, when he led the NFL with 33 tackles for loss. Needless to say, he'll be an elite edge rusher for fantasy managers in IDP formats again in 2026.

After years of underperforming his draft pedigree as the No. 4 overall selection in 2021, Atlanta Falcons tight end
Kyle Pitts Sr. showed signs of a mid-career breakout in 2025. Across 17 games, the 25-year-old hauled in 88 receptions for 928 yards and five touchdowns on 118 targets. The Falcons placed the franchise tag on Pitts Sr. earlier this offseason, meaning he will be back in Atlanta in 2026, barring a trade. It's worth noting that Pitts Sr.'s best stretch of production came late in the 2025 season with veteran quarterback
Kirk Cousins under center and star Falcons wideout
Drake London battling a knee injury. Cousins is no longer with the team, and London should be back to full health in 2026. The Falcons will rely on the quarterback combination of
Michael Penix Jr. (knee) and
Tua Tagovailoa, creating an unstable offensive environment around Pitts Sr. While Pitts Sr.'s 2025 production makes him an intriguing high-upside fantasy option, his profile still carries significant risk entering 2026.

Houston Texans tight end
Dalton Schultz re-established himself as a viable PPR streamer in 2025, finishing the year with 82 receptions for 777 yards and three touchdowns on 106 targets across 17 games. Schultz's 106 targets represented a career high, and he averaged nearly two more catches per game in 2025 than he did in 2024. However, Schultz averaged fewer than 10 yards per reception in 2025 and has never averaged more than 7.8 yards per target in any of his eight NFL seasons. The 29-year-old's production in 2025 was also buoyed by the absence of fellow Texans tight end
Cade Stover, who missed eight games with a foot injury. While Schultz should still be Houston's lead pass-catching tight end in 2026, a fully healthy season from Stover could lead to an incremental decline in targets for Schultz. Given Schultz's lack of explosiveness, he is heavily reliant on target volume for fantasy production. Schultz's stable production floor gives him some value as a depth option for fantasy managers, but his upside remains limited heading into 2026.

Kimani Vidal played a surprisingly prominent role in his team's offense in 2025, recording 779 yards from scrimmage and four touchdowns on 171 touches across 13 games (10 starts). After opening the year on the practice squad in Los Angeles, Vidal was thrust into a starting role after Chargers' backs
Omarion Hampton and
Najee Harris (Achilles) were both forced onto Injured Reserve, Hampton by an ankle injury and Harris with a torn Achilles tendon. However, Vidal's role with the Chargers could be significantly diminished in 2026. Hampton should enter training camp fully healthy and profiles as the team's clear lead back. Los Angeles also signed former Baltimore Ravens running back
Keaton Mitchell to a two-year contract in free agency, which could signify that Mitchell has the edge on Vidal for the team's RB2 role. Vidal could still be worth rostering in deep dynasty formats as a depth piece, but his stock is fading given his murky playing time outlook in Los Angeles.
