George Springer Remains Out on Tuesday
George Springer (head) remains out of the starting lineup for both games of Tuesday's doubleheader versus the Baltimore Orioles. Springer was forced to make an early exit from Monday's game after getting hit in the head by a pitch. He is reportedly feeling better, but will still take a seat for both of Tuesday's contests. Fantasy managers should consider Springer as day-to-day right now. Davis Schneider served as the designated hitter in Game 1, while Bo Bichette takes over as DH for the nightcap.Source: mlb.com

Vikings Won't Mothball Justin Jefferson Until the Regular Season
Justin Jefferson (hamstring) until the start of the regular season. "I have zero worry about the opener, but there's a lot of time between now and then. What that looks like, we're going to be smart. But at the same time, he wants to get back out there. He doesn't want to stay wearing what I wear to practice much longer," head coach Kevin O'Connell said. Jefferson was held out of training camp practice last Thursday, and a day later it was announced that the 26-year-old All-Pro wideout is dealing with a mild left-hamstring strain. It's more of a day-to-day injury, the Jefferson has yet to return to practice. He's missing valuable time to develop chemistry with quarterback J.J. McCarthy, but Jefferson should return sooner than later and remains an elite fantasy wideout until further notice.Source: ESPN.com - Kevin Seifert
ESPN's Kevin Seifert writes that it doesn't sound like the Minnesota Vikings plan to mothball wide receiver Jacob Wilson Placed on 10-Day Injured List
Jacob Wilson (hand) on the 10-day injured list with a bruised hand that he has been playing with in recent weeks. In a corresponding move, infielder Darell Hernaiz has been called up from Triple-A Las Vegas. Hopefully, Wilson won't have to miss much time before coming off the IL, but it could give him a nice little break after finally starting to struggle of late in his first full big-league season. The former sixth overall pick is still hitting above .300 on the season and is one of the toughest hitters to strike out, but he's gone just 7-for-50 (.140) with a homer and five RBI in 13 games in the month of July. Max Schumann got the start at the 6 for the A's on Monday with Wilson out and should be the team's primary option at the position until Wilson is able to return from the IL.Source: Athletics
The Athletics announced on Tuesday that they placed rookie shortstop Blue Jays Acquiring Seranthony Dominguez From Orioles
Seranthony Dominguez from the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday in exchange for right-handed pitching prospect Juaron Watts-Brown, a source tells ESPN's Jeff Passan. Even with closer Felix Bautista (shoulder) on the injured list, the disappointing Orioles have firmly become sellers at the trade deadline and have traded away both Dominguez and lefty Gregory Soto, who were both in line for saves with Bautista on the shelf. Until Bautista returns, the O's will now be forced to go with some combination of Yennier Cano and Andrew Kittredge in save situations. Dominguez, meanwhile, will lose most of his short-term fantasy appeal for those scrounging for saves with the move to Toronto. The 30-year-old veteran should settle into a late-inning setup role in front of closer Jeff Hoffman.Source: ESPN.com - Jeff Passan
The Toronto Blue Jays are acquiring right-handed reliever X-Rays Come Back Negative on Joey Loperfido
Joey Loperfido (thumb) after he jammed his left thumb in Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Toronto Blue Jays, according to Shi Dividi of Sportsnet. Loperfido initially stayed in the game after injuring his thumb on a play at the plate in the fourth inning before eventually coming out of the contest. The 26-year-old provided three hits, including a home run, before departing, so it wasn't all bad for him. Loperfido probably will not be in the lineup for Game 2 of the doubleheader, but since he escaped any major damage, it's possible he'll be back in there for Wednesday's game at Camden Yards. He came into Tuesday's games with only 16 games played in the big leagues, but he was hitting .341 before his three-hit day with two homers and seven RBI.Source: Sportsnet.ca - Shi Davidi
X-rays came back negative on Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Tommy Edman in Tuesday's Lineup
Tommy Edman (ankle) is starting at third base and batting seventh in Tuesday's clash against the hosting Cincinnati Reds and left-hander Nick Lodolo at Great American Ball Park. Edman injured his right ankle last weekend and was held out of Monday's series opener in Cincy as a precaution. However, the 30-year-old has avoided a trip to the injured list for now and should continue seeing everyday work at the hot corner with Max Muncy (knee) still on the IL. The switch-hitter hasn't done much for fantasy managers in his first full season with the Dodgers, slashing .225/.280/.389 with a below-average .669 OPS, 11 homers, 42 RBI, 41 runs and three steals in 293 at-bats. Edman has been ice-cold in July, too, going 9-for-60 (.150) with a homer, four RBI, 14 K's and five walks in 17 games played.Source: MLB.com
Los Angeles Dodgers infielder Shane Bieber Looks Good in Tuesday's Rehab Start
Shane Bieber (elbow) looked good in his latest minor-league rehab start with Double-A Akron on Tuesday, allowing an earned run on three hits while walking none and striking out seven in four innings of work. Bieber was initially scheduled to make his third rehab start on Sunday with Triple-A Columbus before it was rained out. The 30-year-old former Cy Young winner will probably need one more rehab start on the farm before the Guardians consider activating him from the 60-day injured list. With Bieber getting close to making his 2025 debut after recovering from Tommy John surgery, there's a chance that contending teams will make a play to trade for him despite the fact he has a $16 million player option for next year. Fantasy managers should temper expectations for Bieber when he returns, but given his past success, he's worth stashing now that he's close to a return.Source: Milb.com
Cleveland Guardians right-hander TJ Friedl Goes on Paternity List
TJ Friedl was placed on the paternity list on Tuesday and outfielder Rece Hinds was recalled from Triple-A Louisville in a corresponding move. Freidl will now be away from the team for a few days and probably won't be back until Thursday's series opener against the Atlanta Braves. With Friedl away on Tuesday, Will Benson is starting in center field and Gavin Lux will bat out of the leadoff spot against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The 29-year-old Friedl has reached double-digit home runs for the third straight season with the Reds. He's currently slashing .269/.371/.398 with a .769 OPS, 10 home runs, 36 RBI, 10 stolen bases and 63 runs scored in 103 games in his fifth year in the big leagues. Friedl offers modest power/speed contributions in deep-mixed leagues and struggles against lefty pitchers.Source: The Cincinnati Enquirer - Charlie Goldsmith

Ladd McConkey Not Practicing Tuesday
Ladd McConkey (undisclosed) isn't practicing on Tuesday because of an undisclosed injury. Head coach Jim Harbaugh doesn't seem concerned, though, as he said McConkey is "working through something minor." A second-round pick out of Georgia last year, the 6-foot, 185-pound McConkey sparkled as a rookie with 82 catches on 112 targets, 1,149 yards, and seven touchdowns. McConkey is quarterback Justin Herbert's go-to guy and should be in line for another terrific season this year. RotoBaller has McConkey as the 10th-ranked receiver going into 2025.Source: Fernando Ramirez - The Sporting Tribune
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Isaiah Likely Out a Few Weeks With Ankle Injury
Isaiah Likely (ankle) had to be carted off the field during Tuesday's practice after rolling his ankle. Head coach John Harbaugh said afterward that Likely will miss a few weeks, adding that he'll undergo an MRI and the Ravens will have more information Wednesday. This is a notable preseason blow to the Super Bowl contenders' offense, as Likely has posted solid production since entering the NFL in 2022 and has gained importance in their Lamar Jackson-led passing attack. Likely set new career highs in catches (42), yards (477), and touchdowns (six) in 16 games last season for the AFC North champions. The presence of fellow tight end Mark Andrews lowers Likely's ceiling from a fantasy standpoint, but he's still an integral part of the Ravens' offense.Source: Ari Meirov
Baltimore Ravens tight end Tre Harris Impressive on Monday
Tre Harris had one of his best showings of the summer during Monday's practice, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports. Quarterback Justin Herbert found Harris twice during 11-on-11 drills and connected on a touchdown. The Chargers are expecting big contributions from Harris after drafting him 55th overall out of Ole Miss this year. He may be in line to claim a starting job with the recent retirement of Mike Williams. While the Chargers have an established No. 1 receiver in Ladd McConkey, a second-round pick last year, Harris could surpass Quentin Johnston as Herbert's second-favorite target.Source: Daniel Popper - The Athletic
Los Angeles Chargers rookie wide receiver Alec Pierce Back at Practice
Alec Pierce (foot) returned to practice Tuesday after sitting out Monday with a blister in his foot. Pierce has stood out early in camp as he enters a contract year. The 25-year-old led the NFL with a sky-high 22.3 yards per catch and picked up seven touchdowns in 2024, but he only caught 37 passes on 69 targets. Pierce continues to deal with a less-than-stellar situation at quarterback with Daniel Jones and Anthony Richardson Sr. vying for the job. There are also a handful of other Colts who could eat into his targets. Pierce finished third on the team in targets last year, trailing well behind Michael Pittman Jr. and Josh Downs, and the Colts have since added first-round tight end Tyler Warren.Source: Mike Chappell - FOX 59
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson Returns to Practice
Wan'Dale Robinson (leg) was back at practice participating in individual drills on Tuesday, according to Dan Duggan of The Athletic. Robinson sat out Monday's session after taking a knee to the leg on Sunday. The 24-year-old had a breakout season in 2024 in terms of receptions (93) and targets (140), though he averaged a meager 7.5 yards per catch and finished with only three touchdowns in 17 games. Robinson, who will be catching passes from new quarterback Russell Wilson, is heading into this season as RotoBaller's 68th-ranked receiver.Source: Dan Duggan - The Athletic
New York Giants wide receiver Cade Povich to Make Rehab Start on Tuesday
Cade Povich (hip) will make another minor-league rehab start with Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday night, according to Jake Rill of MLB.com. In his last rehab start with the Tides last Thursday, Povich got up to 70 pitches in his fourth start in the minors, so barring a setback with his hip on Tuesday, he figures to make his next start for the Orioles. While there isn't currently room in the five-man starting rotation at the big-league level, there could be after this Thursday's trade deadline if the O's trade one or both of Zach Eflin and Charlie Morton. The 25-year-old southpaw is in his second big-league season in Baltimore and has been inconsistent, going 2-5 with a 5.15 ERA (4.11 FIP) and 1.50 WHIP while walking 23 and striking out 68 in 64 2/3 innings over 13 outings (12 starts) this year.Source: MLB.com - Jake Rill
Baltimore Orioles left-hander Deebo Samuel Sr. Showing Versatility in Camp
Deebo Samuel Sr. in various spots as they look to take advantage of his versatility, according to John Keim of ESPN. Not only has Samuel caught passes and run the ball, but the Commanders have paired him with running back Austin Ekeler on kickoff returns. Samuel was a big-time all-around weapon for the San Francisco 49ers earlier in his career, but they traded him to Washington in the offseason after his production went backward. Samuel caught 51 of 81 targets for 670 yards and three touchdowns in 15 games last year. As a runner, he totaled just 136 yards on 42 attempts and added another score. The 29-year-old still believes he has "a lot left in the tank," and he'll have a chance to show it as a key piece in a talented Commanders offense led by second-year quarterback Jayden Daniels.Source: John Keim
The Washington Commanders have been lining up wide receiver Ryan Mountcastle Unlikely to Return Until Next Week
Ryan Mountcastle (hamstring) is eligible to return from the injured list on Wednesday, but MLB.com's Jake Rill writes that he is unlikely to return to the O's until next week's series against the Philadelphia Phillies, which starts on Monday, Aug. 4. Mountcastle has been out for almost two months with a strained right hamstring, so the Orioles would like to see him play in a few more minor-league rehab games. When the 28-year-old does finally return from the IL, he could be splitting first base duties with Coby Mayo if Ryan O'Hearn is sent packing at this week's trade deadline. If O'Hearn isn't traded, it could be more of a struggle for regular playing time for Mountcastle, who was hitting .246 (46-for-187) with only two home runs, 15 RBI and 19 runs scored before his hammy injury. Since hitting a career-high 33 bombs in 21, Mountcastle's power has declined.Source: MLB.com - Jake Rill

Grayson Rodriguez Getting Multiple Opinions on his Elbow
Grayson Rodriguez (elbow) is getting multiple opinions on his injured right elbow, but there are no further updates, according to Jake Rill of MLB.com. Rodriguez hasn't pitched at all in 2024 due to elbow and lat injuries. The Orioles are doing their due diligence on the 25-year-old, but the longer he goes without throwing, the less likely it is that he'll return to help Baltimore and fantasy managers down the stretch, especially with the team not in the hunt for a playoff spot. In a best-case scenario, Rodriguez probably wouldn't be able to join the big-league rotation for his season debut until late August or even early September. Left-hander Trevor Rogers has been the primary beneficiary in the O's rotation this year with Rodriguez sidelined and has had a nice bounce-back campaign after struggling upon his arrival to Baltimore after a trade from the Marlins last year.Source: MLB.com - Jake Rill

Dalton Kincaid Returns to Practice on Tuesday
Dalton Kincaid (knee) returned to practice on Tuesday, according to Katherine Fitzgerald of The Buffalo News. Kincaid missed practice on Monday due to left knee soreness, but it doesn't appear to be a serious issue. The former first-round pick is coming off a disappointing 2024 campaign where he played in 13 games, recording 44 catches for 448 yards and two touchdowns. Kincaid missed time due to a PCL tear in his left knee, so it's troubling that he's still dealing with discomfort in the same area. The 25-year-old has an opportunity to emerge as the number one target in an offense without much high-end receiving talent, but he'll need to prove he can be both healthy and effective for an extended stretch.Source: The Buffalo News - Katherine Fitzgerald
Buffalo Bills tight end Thanasis Antetokounmpo Added to Greece Training Camp Roster for EuroBasket 2025
Thanasis Antetokounmpo has been added to the Greek national team training camp roster to prepare for the EuroBasket 2025 tournament beginning at the end of August. Antetokounmpo didn't play professionally in 2024-25 after undergoing surgery in May 2024 to repair a torn Achilles tendon. The 33-year-old played five of his six NBA seasons in Milwaukee, winning an NBA championship in 2021 alongside his younger brother Giannis Antetokounmpo. If the older Antetokounmpo remains healthy, he will likely finish his professional playing career overseas.Source: Eurohoops.net
According to Eurohoops.net, free agent forward "Cautious Optimism" that Quinshon Judkins will Play for Browns in 2025
Quinshon Judkins will play for the Browns this season, according to Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN. Judkins was arrested on domestic violence charges earlier in July and remains unsigned as a result. The Browns drafted Judkins in the second round out of Ohio State, where he collected over 1,200 yards from scrimmage and 16 touchdowns in 2024. He had been expected to compete with veteran Jerome Ford and fellow rookie Dylan Sampson for backfield touches in Cleveland, but Judkins could be facing missed time due to suspension as a result of his off-field issues. Until there's more clarity around Judkins' legal situation, fantasy managers in re-draft leagues should proceed with caution.Source: ESPN - Daniel Oyefusi

Xavier Worthy Leaves Practice on Tuesday with Head Injury
Xavier Worthy (head) "banged his head" and left the team's Tuesday practice early, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. The severity of Worthy's injury is unclear, but he may be facing the NFL's concussion protocol before he can return to the practice field. As a rookie in 2024, Worthy played all 17 games for Kansas City and logged 59 catches for 638 yards and six touchdowns. The second-year speedster is expected to take on a significant role in the Chiefs' offense once again in 2025. Kansas City has some depth at wide receiver between Worthy, Rashee Rice, Hollywood Brown, and rookie Jalen Royals. However, Rice may be facing an early-season suspension, and Brown is nursing an ankle injury.Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Brenton Doyle Returns From Shoulder Injury
Brenton Doyle (shoulder) returned to the lineup for the series opener on Monday in Cleveland against the Guardians after missing four games with a sore right shoulder, according to MLB.com's Thomas Harding. Doyle suffered the injury making a diving catch last Tuesday against the St. Louis Cardinals and then aggravated the injury on a slide into home plate later in the game. The 27-year-old has hit just .216 with seven homers and 31 RBI in a disappointing season, and his shoulder injury came in the midst of one of his most productive stretches -- he went 8-for-17 (.471) during a five-game stretch. Fantasy managers have been left wondering what has happened after Doyle hit .260/.317/.446 with 23 homers, 30 steals and 72 RBI in a breakout 2024 campaign. A quad injury early in the year and time on the bereavement list stalled what had been a hot start.Source: MLB.com - Thomas Harding
Colorado Rockies outfielder Luis Gil Could Make Season Debut on Sunday
Luis Gil (lat) is expected to throw 75 pitches in his minor-league rehab start on Tuesday, and if all goes well, he'll be lined up to make his first major-league start on Sunday in Miami against the Marlins. Tuesday will be Gil's fourth rehab start, and potentially his last if everything goes well. The 27-year-old should be picked up in fantasy leagues if he's floating around the waiver wire after winning the American League Rookie of the Year award in 2024. He has been out all season in 2025 due to a strained right lat and has posted a 7.20 ERA and 1.40 WHIP with 17 strikeouts and six walks in 10 innings in his three rehab starts with Double-A Somerset and Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. While Gil can help down the stretch, fantasy managers also shouldn't expect him to be as good as he was in 2024.Source: Talkin' Yanks
New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone told Talkin' Yankees that right-hander
