Penn State senior quarterback Drew Allar will miss the rest of the 2025 season with an ankle injury suffered with two minutes left in the 22-21 loss to Northwestern on Saturday. This ends Allar's stellar career at Penn State. He finishes his career with 7,402 passing yards (fourth in school history), 61 touchdowns (3rd), 13 interceptions, and a 63.2% completion percentage. That is the highest in Penn State history. Allar was likely to be a first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, but elected to return to Penn State for a shot at a national championship. His goal will fall short, as the Nittany Lions enter Week 8 with a 3-3 record. Allar will be replaced at quarterback by redshirt freshman Ethan Grunkemeyer. Grunkemeyer has completed 9 of 13 passes in his career for 114 yards with a touchdown and an interception. --Mike Marteny - RotoBaller
