Syracuse QB Steve Angeli Will Miss Significant Time
Syracuse quarterback Steve Angeli will be out "for a long time," according to Syracuse head coach Fran Brown in a radio interview after the Orange's 34-21 win over Clemson. Angeli briefly exited the game in the first half, but was able to return until he stumbled on a quarterback keeper in the third quarter and fell without being hit. He was spotted on crutches on the sideline during the next Clemson possession. Angeli completed 18 of 31 passes for 244 yards and two touchdowns before leaving the game. Redshirt sophomore Rickie Collins will take over for the Orange. Collins, a transfer from LSU, is 11 for 13 passing for 103 yards with a touchdown and an interception in his career. His first career touchdown was to Justyn Ross-Simmons to complete the same drive in which Angeli went down.
