Free agent offensive lineman D.J. Humphries' agency previously announced he had signed a deal with the San Francisco 49ers, but NBC Sports' Matt Maiocco reports that there is no deal in place yet. In fact, Maiocco notes that "nothing appears imminent" between the two sides. Humphries missed more than half of the 2024 season while recovering from a torn ACL, and a subsequent hamstring injury limited him to just a few games with the Kansas City Chiefs. A former anchor on the Arizona Cardinals' offensive line, Humphries will now likely have to settle for a prove-it deal coming off a pair of serious injuries. As for the 49ers, their recent signings of Andre Dillard and Nicholas Petit-Frere suggest that they may no longer be in the market for a veteran lineman. Perhaps Humphries will have to look elsewhere for his next NFL contract.--Andersen Pickard
