Miles Sanders Scores but Remains a Handcuff in the Cowboys Backfield
Miles Sanders found the end zone in Week 2, a welcome sight after a quiet opener. Still, his fantasy role remains essentially unchanged, and that should continue against the Chicago Bears in Week 3. His snap share crept up only slightly--from 18% in Week 1 to 22%--while Javonte Williams continues to operate as the Cowboys' unquestioned lead back. Still, there are encouraging signs. After a crucial fumble against the Eagles in Week 1, Dallas' coaching staff showed faith by keeping Sanders involved and active. He'll also need to keep rookie Jaydon Blue relegated to the healthy scratch list to maintain that small foothold. For fantasy managers, Sanders is best viewed as a stash. If you roster Williams, he's an essential insurance policy. Even without Williams, Sanders is worth a speculative bench spot in deeper leagues thanks to the Cowboys' high-powered offense and his proven ability to punch in short-yardage scores if opportunity strikes. Sanders is mainly an option in very deep leagues against Chicago, with the Cowboys expected to have Blue active this week.
