Max Scherzer Reinstated From Restricted List
2 years agoThe New York Mets reinstated starting pitcher Max Scherzer from the restricted list on Tuesday. Scherzer is back after completing his 10-game suspension for the use of foreign substances in his last outing against the Los Angeles Dodgers on April 19. The 38-year-old right-hander will make his next start on Wednesday in an excellent matchup against his former team, the Detroit Tigers. The three-time Cy Young winner hasn't been all that great in his first four starts of 2023, posting a 3.72 ERA (5.72 FIP), 1.19 WHIP, nine walks and 17 strikeouts in 19 1/3 innings, but fantasy managers will definitely want to get him back into their starting lineups this week for a cushy matchup against the Tigers.
