Mark Vientos Hits Two Homers Tuesday
6 months agoNew York Mets third baseman Mark Vientos stayed hot at the plate in Tuesday's 9-7 win over the Yankees. Vientos went 2-for-4 with a pair of solo home runs and a strikeout. Vientos hit the first of four HR off of Gerrit Cole in the second inning and added another one in the fourth inning. The 24-year-old has put together a solid offensive season, slashing .297/.349/.576 with nine HR, 21 runs scored, and 20 RBI in 129 plate appearances. Vientos' biggest skill is his power, so he should continue to be a fantasy contributor if he can provide that along with a serviceable batting average.
