Marcus Johnson Will Hit Open Market
5 years agoThe Indianapolis Colts won't tender impending restricted free-agent wide receiver Marcus Johnson, meaning he'll hit the open market. Johnson made six starts last season and caught three passes for 105 yards and a touchdown in a game against the Buccaneers, so he should have interest on the open market. In all, the 25-year-old caught 17 passes for 277 yards (16.3 yards per catch) and two touchdowns in eight games played. He saw increased playing time due to injuries to T.Y. Hilton, Devin Funchess and Parris Campbell throughout the year. He'll likely have to battle for a starting spot wherever he lands, but he's a name to keep an eye on.
