Malik Hooker Tests Positive For COVID-19
3 years agoDallas Cowboys safety Malik Hooker tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday, and his status is now in doubt for Sunday night's game against the Washington Football Team. It's terrible timing for Hooker, as he's coming off his best game of the season with six tackles (five solo), an interception and a pass defensed in 51% of the defensive snaps played. The 25-year-old is vaccinated, but he'll need to be asymptomatic and test negative before Sunday night in order to be cleared from the COVID protocols. In 13 games for the Cowboys this year, Hooker has 38 tackles and one interception. Even if Hooker doesn't play, Dallas' D should be considered a must-start against Washington in the fantasy playoffs.
