Lorenzo Cain Returning From Injured List
3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder Lorenzo Cain (hamstring) is returning from the 10-day injured list on Tuesday. Cain has been out for around two months with a hamstring strain, and he returns at a good time with Christian Yelich being placed on the COVID-19 list after a positive test. The 35-year-old had just three home runs, nine RBI and four stolen bases to go along with a .223/.322/.350 slash line in 103 at-bats before his hamstring injury. Cain can supply some modest power, but he remains useful mostly for his speed in mixed leagues. However, it remains to be seen if he'll run as much after missing a good chunk of the season with a leg injury. With Yelich out and Cain back, Jackie Bradley Jr. and Tyrone Taylor should continue platooning in one outfield spot.
