Kyle Hendricks To Make Another Rehab Start Tuesday
2 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Kyle Hendricks (shoulder) is scheduled for another minor-league rehab start with Triple-A Iowa on Tuesday. Hendricks threw 54 pitches in his first rehab start on April 27, which was his first affiliated game since July 5 of last year. He was unsurprisingly rusty, allowing six runs on six hits while walking one and striking out three in 1 2/3 innings for Iowa. The 33-year-old veteran is attempting to return from a capsular tear in his right shoulder and has been working on an altered arm path in his delivery with the goal of avoiding a similar injury in the future. While Hendricks will eventually be an option for Chicago's rotation this month, he lacks substantial fantasy upside at this point in his career.
