Veteran free-agent linebacker Kwon Alexander signed an undisclosed one-year deal with the New York Jets on Thursday, according to multiple reports. Alexander played for head coach Robert Saleh in San Francisco but spent most of the last two seasons with the New Orleans Saints after the Niners traded him in 2020. He was originally a fourth-round pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2015 out of LSU. In 12 games (eight starts) for the Saints last season, the 27-year-old had 50 tackles (39 solo), a career-high 3.5 sacks, seven tackles for loss, seven QB hits, one interception, one forced fumble and a fumble recovery. Alexander is expected to push Quincy Williams and/or Hamsah Nasirildeen for a role at outside linebacker in New York.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
