Justin Steele Might Miss Just One Start
2 years agoChicago Cubs left-hander Justin Steele (forearm) may miss a start, but his injury doesn't sound all that serious, according to a source. Steele was set to undergo an MRI exam on Thursday after leaving his start early on Wednesday against the Tampa Bay Rays with "forearm tightness." When the 27-year-old southpaw departed his last start early, it seemed likely to be an injured-list situation, but that may not be the case now. It would be great news for the Cubs and fantasy managers, as Steele has been extremely reliable so far this year, going 6-2 with a 2.65 ERA (2.85 FIP), 1.06 WHIP, 16 walks and 58 strikeouts in 68 innings over 12 starts in his third major-league season. Check back for further information on Steele's status, but as of now it looks like he has avoided a worst-case scenario.
