Julio Jones Held Out Of Wednesday's Practice
2 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Julio Jones (knee) did not take part in Wednesday's practice. Jones missed time earlier this year due to a knee injury, so it's possible that the Bucs are simply resting the 33-year-old veteran before a Week 15 date with the Cincinnati Bengals. Jones played a season-high 72 percent of the offensive snaps in the Week 14 loss to the San Francisco 49ers and was targeted a season-high eight times, catching five of them for 38 yards. He'll have two more chances to get back on the practice field later this week. If Jones is limited or out against the Bengals this weekend, Russell Gage would see increased opportunities as the No. 3 wideout behind Chris Godwin and Mike Evans in Tampa's pass-happy offense.
