2 years agoBaltimore Orioles shortstop Jorge Mateo is batting leadoff on Friday against left-hander Max Fried and the Atlanta Braves, while outfielder Austin Hays (finger) misses another contest. Mateo will be hitting in the top spot in Baltimore's order for the first time this year, but he's certainly earned it by hitting .321 (27-for-84) with five doubles, six home runs, 19 RBI, 11 stolen bases and 23 runs scored in 26 games played so far. It's a tough matchup against Fried, but Mateo will carry considerably more DFS upside out of the leadoff spot. Hays is typically the O's leadoff hitter, but he hasn't played since Tuesday with a bruised right middle finger. He'll be available off the bench, so consider him day-to-day. Ryan McKenna is starting in left field and hitting eighth in the lineup.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
