Jets Officially Acquire Aaron Rodgers From Packers
2 years agoThe New York Jets officially acquired quarterback Aaron Rodgers, pick No. 15 in this year's draft and a fifth-round pick (No. 170) from the Green Bay Packers on Monday in exchange for pick No. 13 this year, a second-rounder (No. 42), a sixth-rounder (No. 207) and a conditional 2024 second-rounder that becomes a first-round selection if Rodgers plays 65 percent of the plays in 2023. The 39-year-old future Hall of Fame QB made his intentions clear a while ago that he planned to play for the Jets this year, but it took some time for the two sides to agree on compensation. Rodgers had a tough year in 2022 while working with inexperienced receivers, but he'll have some bounce-back potential as a QB1 in fantasy with much better weapons in New York. Meanwhile, Jordan Love finally gets his chance to lead the Packers with Rodgers out of the way.
